That is a little strange. Although they're still pretty close, I'm not sure I would be too concerned about it. Coming from the guy who just a bit ago said to make sure everything's accurate But within about 10% of each other doesn't scare me much.

Either way, those are pretty good proximity numbers!

I still don’t get how they got 55’ on all approaches.  Must be part of the algorithm that I am not seeing.

Was 55' from approaches of all distances? Including par 3's perhaps?

I do wish Arccos let users see "behind the curtain" a bit more as to how some of their numbers are calculated.

Yeah, all approaches.  I added them up, and averaged 18.88’

What was your distance on all 18 holes?

I only played 9.  Total distance I add up was 170.

Still, what was the distance left after your shot into the green on each hole?  Based on the screenshots, at least 2 were 0 to 25 yards from the green since you were 50% on up and downs and at least one was 25-50 yards from the green that you didn’t get up and down.  
 

so 6 hit green at let’s say average 10 feet away from the hole,  60 feet.

assuming the 0-25 was edge of green and 10 feet from hole, 20 feet

assuming the 25-50 was 25 yards and 10 feet from from hole, 85 feet. 

my ballpark is 165 feet so your distance average would match.   
 

Just to verify,  you are not counting putt distances and adding the missed green distances too.

Yeah.  The longest one “on the green” was like 39’.  Even if I did miss the green I didn’t hve any over 50’ away.  Not sure where that 55’ number is coming from.

Trying to help you understand the 55’ number, but I need to know all the proximity to the hole numbers.  Maybe I am misunderstanding what you were showing.  Did you hit a pitch from the 25-50 yard range?   If yes, then the proximity to the hole has to be at least 75’ unless it was the second on a par 4 or 3rd on a par 5.

Got it.  Yeah.  I wasn’t looking at it that way, but it makes sense.

It is more than counting first putt distance on the green.  That is great for understanding how you perform at various distances, but approach proximity is how far you are after the tee shot on a par 3, the second on a par 4, and 3rd on a par 5.  It may adjust if you hit the green prior to those shots.

Yeah, I suppose.  But it seems useless to track my fat 7 iron that ended up 100 yards short…

Expect that shot lost you nearly 1 full stroke in SG. WHich is a big hit to SG approach for a 9 hole round.
