I said I would not, but I did replace my lost Caddie Link.  Today will be my first round with it.  I followed ChitownM2's advice and attached a lanyard to it.

I keep my phone in my front (left) pocket.  I have my bluetooth on but not connected to anything.  Wifi off.  

I have very few missed shots with full shots.  Most often the misses are putts, which it seems to be pretty bad at.  I keep score on paper, and making the corrections at the end only takes a few minutes.

I've never had issues where I thought I needed to troubleshoot, replace, or disassemble a sensor.  I believe the batteries do eventually die and then you're supposed to replace the sensor.  If its faulty I think Arccos may replace it. 

"3. Do you find you have to check the info after each shot/hole, etc? She doesn't normally look at her phone until we're done and she's in the car."

I don't touch it during my round.  I have a watch and scope for yardages.  Ill occasionally check how far I hit a shot or ask the caddie for options, but mostly ot stays in my pocket.  It can use up phone battery quickly just doing its tracking stuff

I know it’s rather non-scientific but one way to assess customer satisfaction for this product is to look on a site like eBay and see how many are for sale. There are many to be had at very low asking prices.

I was grumbling about missed shots on another group I belong to.  A guy responded that he had the same problem, and to correct it, he took electrical tape and wrapped around the junction of the sensor and club.  He said it greatly reduced his missed shots.  I cannot see how that would make any difference, but I had nothing to loose and had a roll of electrical tape in the basement.  Hoping to play sometime this weekend and see what happens.

OK, I played a round of golf today with the electrical tape on my sensors as I previously posted.  I was stunned at the results: Not one missed shot!   I responded to the guy who told me about this and thanked him and ask him "What is this Magic?'

Paul, That sounds very promising.  Any chance you can take a pic of your tape job, so we can see what you are doing?

I must admit, I was very surprised that it worked.  Pleasantly surprised, but surprised all the same.  I played last Saturday, the 1st, and was hoping to play again this past weekend, but we had snow!  I am sure you know what that is  LOL

Thanks Paul.  Yup Lots of snow up here and its quite a bit up here!

I am really fascinated that this tape job makes that much difference.  

Hope you are able to get out and play again after the snow melts.  Very envious!

I now have 281 rounds and 20.5K shots captured with Arccos despite only using it about half the time I play.

More recently I’ve found the club yardages to be extremely helpful as I’ve changed irons and wedges a few times since using the system and the smart distance and smart range feature is very nice.

I’ve been working on increasing driver distance this past year and the usage statistics are also helpful to see if I’m getting results.

The new golf ball feature will be used to compare a couple golf balls this year as well.

I have been an Arccos user for less than a year. I have had some struggles with it, but seem to be having more success with it lately. A couple of features I believe would be helpful are:

Having some kind of alert or warning when my phone looses connection with the shot detection device, either link or watch.

Providing some kind of alert when a shot is detected. Perhaps a sound or vibration on the phone. When a shot is not detected, I may not become aware of it for a while, and by then adding a shot manually is problematic for me.

I think a few places still have them.  I guess certain clubs already have them pre-installed, so they may be running low on stock?

I was able to play a round last Saturday, before the snow arrived on Sunday. On that day I was missing about half my drives, which was annoying.  On Sunday I emailed Arccos Customer Support and explained the issue. They will be sending a replacement.  This will be the second sensor that I've had to replace.  I do not see that as a problem.  One thing I noticed this time is, this time they ask for 5 digit code on top of the sensor.  They did not ask for that the last time.  It was really difficult to read, so I gave them my best guess of what the code is.

How is everyone liking the beta dashboard? Looks like all the rounds are in there now. Is there an ETA on when it wont be in testing anymore?

Going through (and why i just love having arccos now) is my approach play tells a wild story. GIR I am good but i am wayyyyyy to to often short, club up mark!

I know all the stat trackers tell us to club up, but I don't think that tells the whole story. If I have 160 to the center of the green, I'm pulling a 7 (smart range 147 to 172). I know I can't plan for a perfect strike every time, but I would argue I don't. Planning for a perfect strike would mean I pull an 8. My smart range tells me I'm still going to mishit to some degree or another and there is a good chance I end up short. At our league course, I am perfectly OK with that since about half the holes are very penal (if not death) if you are long.

Yea my club data isn’t available either. I am guessing they probably just pull all the rounds and aren’t doing any manipulation yet with the beta. Just pulling more and more information in to see if there are any headaches showing up.

I usually go with the recommended club, but what I have consciously been doing is going for 3/4ish swings, much more controlled and why My left and right is minimal. I need to now consciously club up if I’m going to continue to do that, which I think I’m going to because I’m far more controlled doing it that way. My ranges are a little tighter in the 10-12 yard range so I Definitely need to club up if I’m doing this.

I couldn't agree with you more.  Mine suggests I should be taking more club, but so many of the holes I play if you go long you have a fast downhill putt, have a drop off to woods, or some other trouble versus a relatively easy chip from the fringe/fairway.  

BUT... I'm going to do my best to take a little more club this year and see if that's all in my head.

Probably not a bad idea, but it hits me in the ego to not be 1-2 clubs longer than most of the people I play with.

Who's ready to see some bad long iron scores? I know I am!

It will be curious to see which clubs perform and which do not.  Hopefully they'll have an option to compare a driver vs another driver if you bring one out for a few rounds.  Could be really powerful tool for users.

This detailed club by club SG data will be scary, but it will show some really interesting data.  It’s a major upgrade to the current data (which is already very good) in drives and approaches.

I am really interested in seeing how good or bad my shots are for each of my hybrids to mid irons.  

But also I would like Arccos to compare my driver vs 3W vs hybrid off the tee.  I hope we can sort out for tee shots vs fairway shots.

For Christmas, I got a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Tuesday was the first time I used Arccos with the watch and I really liked it. No, it doesn't provide distances to hazards, etc., like the satellite view on the phone, but gives you F/M/B and "plays like" F/M/B and once you get on the green the screen automatically changes to record number of putts. I left my phone in my pocket pretty much the whole time and just relied on the watch and it was a really nice experience. I haven't figured out if there is a way to confirm a shot was detected, so I did pull my phone out a few times to do that.

I think it's going to show a lot of us that we need to put away every iron down to the 5 irons and get a hybrid haha. and I bet we'll see that our 3-wood should probably be a 5-wood.  Of course there will be exceptions.

Personally, I think I'm going to see my 5-iron is weak, and my wedges aren't as good as the good shots I remember (because I almost immediately forget the bad ones).  

RE: the Galaxy Watch... I have an Apple watch now and am looking forward to trying that out on the course.  If I'm familiar with the course I think the watch will be mostly all I need, but I'm used to checking my phone between holes anyway, so I can see my self validating the prior hole and checking my tee options from the phone still.

I think this new data is going to leave a lot of amateurs perplexed because they insist that using their 3 wood off the tee is better then using their driver

In the same boat.  Being a high handicapper my struggle is with inconsistency and not so much with club selection.  The one thing I've learned from Arccos is that my distances are actually what I thought they were....when I hit the club.  That is to say my average strikes are what my smart distances say they are and perfect strikes go ~10 yards long and bad strikes are short.  

The one thing I guess this new update will tell me is just how often I hit certain clubs poorly vs well.  I would say most of the time I'm hitting a long iron or fwy wood is on a par 5 and the plan is usually to get myself to 100-125 yards out and if I screw it up badly, I may end up with at 150-175 out so I've got an actual green iron approach instead of a wedge

You guys are missing the most important part of the new update: objective, measured data that justifies to your wife why you have to replace your three wood.
