Hey guys!  I just got a set of sensors, but when I went to "Activate Membership" and put in my payment information, it said "error in saving payment information."  Has anyone had experience with this issue?  I'm running off of a Samsung S22 ultra.

I had that same issue with my iPhone, I think I emailed them and got it sorted out.  Or chat can’t remember.

Glad to know it can be resolved!  I emailed their helpline as the app suggested

I’ve had mine since the beginning of the season.  I have not use the phone detection method, but I can tell you link works fine.  It tends to miss tap in putts but I can live with that.   In terms of updating the phone with shot data, I’ve always found it to be in sync by the time I get back to the cart.

yeah initially I know I missed a bunch of tap-ins then I read somewhere that you really need to set the putter and be still for a second before putting.  since then even my tap-ins have been recorded.

I finally got my new SM9 wedges from Wedgeworks and installed the remaining two smart grips to activate the membership.  Unlike @goaliewales14activation issues, my iPhone recognized the free membership at checkout.  Also, swapped out the included putter sensor with the updated P3 sensor.  The smaller P3 design fits better on my pistol style grip.

I am stoked to post rounds and check out my numbers.

I'm going to use my Apple Watch and keep my iPhone in the bag.  Is the watch tracking better than the phone?

Based on previous reviews, it seems that Arccos has worked better with Apple in the past vs Android.  I was finally able to get mine set up after about 3 calls to them.  They were very nice each time.

I think their customer service is excellent.

I was trying to find a new course not in their system and they looked at it thoroughly and came back a few times to update me on what the delay was in getting the new updated course on their system.

Totally went above and beyond a couple of times on various items.

incidentally, the new putter sensor v3 is working like a charm.

My next set is going to require the grips with sensors installed.  The screw in type didn’t bother me before, but they are now.  I use all of the grip anyways… adding a failure point at the end of the grip has me using my clubs at + 3/4” or whatever the height/depth of the sensor is.  3 iron currently doesn’t have a sensor, but I can feel the difference in SW between it and the 4 by using the little extra on the 4 it is heavier.

I have the GP Plus 4s with the sensors inbedded, they work great.  I have a 3W and a 4 iron that I switch in and out depending on course conditions with the sensor screwed in, I agree there is a slight difference in swing weight. I have not seen too many big differences, but I’m at 8 index, so I may not be good enough to notice slight SW differences.

The one thing I notice is sometimes I grip it at the end of the Arccos GP grip and the additional shaft  length is a problem for me.  So I have to remember to choke down slightly.

Considering ditching Arccos and moving to ShotScope with the H4

I am really turned off with Arccos’s implementation of new hardware and how they leave current hardware users behind while still having the audacity to charge a subscription fee

Shotscope just updated their App and the desktop Dashboard adding more capabilities at no additional charge.

A couple of members on the Shotscope thread have started using H4 - so you might want to get their opinion on it.

I’ll have to check it out.  I’ve been contemplating on dropping the tech all together. An index card with distances on it used to work pretty well.

The only reason why I'm doing Arccos right now is someone gave me the never opened sensors for $40, so I couldn't pass it up.  I'll see after a year if I'm looking to consider switching

Most of the guys I play with are just not that serious about their game, their equipment or trying to improve as much as I am.

There are only two other guys I know that are using Arccos.  They also are observant and see what is working for other people and then try to adopt those same best practices.  They started using Arccos after seeing how it had helped me.  They are also the two golfers in our Men’s group that have improved the most in the last couple of years.

The three of us duke it out every week for the low gross prize now.

I was thinking about the new Gen 2 Link.

Just wondering if anyone has tried it and compared it to the original Link?

Not sure if it’s worth the cost to upgrade which isn’t cheap. So far my Original Link is working pretty well, so not sure if it’s worth it.

May be MGS will test it for us?

Arccos system gone.  I don't like their business model of making their own equipment obsolete without any sort of trade-in/up program ON TOP OF A FRIGGEN SUBSCRIPTION TO USE THEIR SERVICES.

The original Link can't get feature updates but the new version can?  Those bulky sensors you bought? Well now we have smaller and better ones, but you'll have to buy them too.

I hear and feel your frustration, but tech companies will always create new and latest product.  When Whoop updated their product last year, they offered members to upcycle the older tech to friends.  Friends would get a free trial and upgraded members got a month extended.  That's a better solution, which increases new people to test before enrolling into a subscription.

BTW, I hate buying new TVs and cars for the same reason.  There's always a new version around the corner.

It’s really the not offering trade ins combined with the subscription service that bugs me.

And after using Arccos for two years I’m not quite sure what I am paying for. Especially when there is a competitor like Shot Scope that offers better hardware solutions and virtually the same information without a subscription

Have been trying the new v3 Putter Sensor.  Bought it with a decent discount from Arccos.

It definitely tracking my putters better than the v2 sensor.

So happy with it so far.

They are coming out with new sensors and a new link. There is no upgrade path for current owners/subscribers. The new Link can receive major software updates. The old link cannot.

Quick question everyone, I have the older Arccos link and sometimes it doesn’t capture a shot and I’m wondering if I need to have my phone closer by (I keep my phone in my bag on the cart) or is it a link issue. I always have link on my left side and the mic isn’t covered up.

It doesn’t happen all the time but a few times a round so I have a few edits to make after the round. Thanks,

The Link stores shot info until you get close enough to your phone to pass the info along via bluetooth, so you shouldn't need to have your phone closer. Could be that the mic port in the link is clogged up with dirt or lint - sometimes a blast of compressed air can help clean it out.

My experience with Arccos is most definitely a love/hate relationship.  Sometimes it works perfectly, other times it is abysmal.  Last Saturday for example;  I just could not get it to pair with either my Apple Watch or the Link, and I just do not want to carry my phone in my pocket.  I gave up and fired up The Grint and used that on that day.  As my subscription is up in September of this year, I really do not know yet what I might do; renew or let it go.  I have even considered upgrading to the new sensors, but thinking back, very few of my problems have been due to sensor error, but rather shot detection.
