Popular Post sirchunksalot
As most of you know, my ability to effectively hit a golf ball has gone downhill for quite some time. I've been posting a lot in the "What, How Did You Practice Today?" thread and honestly, haven't played much lately. It's time to throw some accountability into the mix, that why I'm starting this thread. Recently, I purchased the "No Turn Cast" from Monte Scheinblum and am working on developing a functional swing. I'm not saying this is the be all, end all as I'm looking to start lessons in a couple of months. Right now, my swing is a complete mess with results like this: Untitled - Sequence 01 10.mp4 That kind of result just takes some of the fun of of the game. I've got a lot to work on. Bad weight shift, steep shaft, alignment, hands coming off the grip, and a misinterpretation of lag are just a few things that need to be addressed. I plan on charting my progress here, starting with my first round in a month this coming weekend. I hope to chart practice sessions, post videos, and talk about my rounds here. edingc, Chip Strokes, Tom the Golf Nut and 18 others 14

Years of coming inside and collapsing it is a hard habit to break. Good deal. I know that when things start going south for me, I need to just go back to that left arm parallel and hit some solid shots. I've even done that on the course in the middle of a round. And I've mentioned before, that position for me is actually close to a full *good* backswing. I love Monte's stuff because a lot of it mirrors what I've been given in lessons, and it's basic, easy to understand instruction. Keep at it, and keep us all updated on how things go.
