I'll be following.  I'm pretty sure my swing looked exactly like yours when I took up golf nearly 30 years ago.  I never did lessons for my first 10 years of playing.  Wish I had... would have saved a lot of angst.

You can dooooo it!

Right now, it's just getting to the 7 o'clock position with a flat lead wrist. Years of coming inside and collapsing it is a hard habit to break.

Good deal. I know that when things start going south for me, I need to just go back to that left arm parallel and hit some solid shots. I've even done that on the course in the middle of a round. And I've mentioned before, that position for me is actually close to a full *good* backswing. I love Monte's stuff because a lot of it mirrors what I've been given in lessons, and it's basic, easy to understand instruction. Keep at it, and keep us all updated on how things go.

Definitely giving this a big follow.  Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

I'm confident that this is going to be a great follow and you'll be making some solid gains in your game soon.  It's never easy when you find yourself stuck in a rut but you'll work your way out of it.

As others have said, start with those basics of grip and alignment and then see what's going on from there.

We'll be here along the way to hopefully not give you bad advice and watch the progress!

This game has me questioning my sanity on a regular basis. You should see the looks my wife gives me when I talk about wrist flexion and de-lofting the club at impact. I think she is considering having me committed. That, or her eyes glaze over and all she hears is "blabbity, blabbity, blah, golf stuff, mumble".

That's great advice! I'm working on an overlap grip right now and trying to strengthen my right hand to have the angle of my thumb pointing more towards my right shoulder. I noticed it was almost pointing at my left in one of my videos.

Alignment is going to be a process, I almost feel lined up too far right when my alignment is good. I've seen better results when I'm lined up better, but I've got to learn to trust it. It just skews my perception and I want to open up.

I can relate 100% on the alignment. I think that’s my biggest issue off tee, especially with the driver.
