Thanks for all the hard work setting this up. With the draft a few days away, I thought I would check in regarding ETA for draft order (for strategy-forming purposes )

I would love to know how you are planning on forming a strategy with 60 or so teams drafting and 4 copies of players. Feel free to give me any and all advice you can! haha

I know I would love to be able to plan for it, but likely just going to wing it as there are just way too many variables for me to comprehend!

Frankly, I'm going to look at it like a 14-16 team league (wherever the final math leaves us) with a really, really long draft . I am still mulling a little over what positions to draft vs try to fill in the FA period following, but I think it will come down to value (projected scoring + position scarcity).

At least we'll have plenty of time to think in between picks...

Sounds great! I'll do a couple mocks from different draft positions to get a feel in the meantime.

I am glad I am in the Fade division since that is my natural ball flight .. hopefully its a sign of good things to come .. or bad things depending on my swing

For any and all those interested when draft order does come out I will still be interested in trading my 1st (if its late) or my 2nd (no matter where) and a later round pick for a 3 and 4 or 3 and 5 depending on where you are drafting. 

I have never really had a 2nd round pick in MGS fantasy so I'm looking at continuing the trend. First year I picked Antonio Brown and he only played 1 game all season and last year the system auto picked Akers who didn't do anything till late and I had alraedy shipped him off so trying to see if I can get some value for it since it has been a unlucky spot for me.

I sent the info about Circus league to CBS Fantasy football and the email response I got thought it was hilarious and a brilliant league. I was trying to get advice on my first round pick. The suggestion was Daniel Jones lol

Brad Evans, who I follow on Twitter and listen to his SiriusXM show (Fade The Noise, 2-4 EST) when I get a chance and I had a 15 minute pre draft strategy session I won through an auction raising money for St. Jude last night. I picked his brain about the auction draft in our side league since it's been a while since I have done one, and told him of these MGS leagues. He said this league was the largest he ever heard of and his friends used to have a circus equivalent called Suckball. Awesome dude.

Even though I'm happy with my first trade off picks i an still open to offers if anyone is looking to move some more. If be happy to trade a 6 and 8 to move into 5 if anyone liked that or maybe trade my current 2nd for a 3rd and 4th as mentioned before depending on where they are in the round.

I had real trouble last year in the draft understanding what players were off the board with multiple copies. Any tips?

We didn't have copies for football? We had our divisions, i think this is the first time for copies in football. Truthfully no idea, but I don't remember it being tracked for Golf. Best I can suggest is players you want make a spreadsheet and if they are picked make a mark or some sort by them.

Are you thinking that after all four copies of the player are taken his name will come off the big board?

This should be the case. If there are no more copies left or you drafted them already their name should disappear. It did for golf but unfortunately there isn’t a tracker to my knowledge to tell if 1 or 3 copies are left.

Well that's what happened for Golf. You are correct that this is the first year for copies in the draft because we didn't have the commissioners to pull of multiple drafts and divisions after @Bucky CC stepped back from football this year. We thought it worked decently well in golf so are deciding to try it in football as well. If it works the same way, awesome! If not, something to retool for the 2022-23 season.

@daviddvm This was actually a welcome change they added thanks to our feedback and it’s across all the sports now. Previously, a player was on the board until all of their copies were drafted but there was no way to tell how many had gone. Now, there’s an “own” column that denotes how many copies are owned so you can track it a little better.

As of now yes.  I have zero chance of being able to make it past round 4 with this many picks so trying leverage CMC. Of course that could change later this evening after I get a chance to look things over better with our scoring system.

I cannot keep up with you! I haven't even had a chance to go see the draft order and I'm getting alerts for trade offers!
