The best option is an ad blocker

I don’t use an ad  blocker on my phone so can’t help.  I browse the forum on my iPad and safari and have no pop up ads.

What kind of phone? I have a Samsung and found a very effective ad blocker that only works for Samsung browser and Yandex browser.

I agree though, the ads are overwhelming. If I hadn't found a workable solution, I likely wouldn't be here that often since I mostly use my phone.

Me too. I'm using AdGuard content blocker. It works very well in my experience.
