Shankster
Today, I brought my 2 hybrid to the course. Used it for an alignment aid on the range. Then with a sad face it asked me to hit a ball with it. So I did… 240 on the fly frozen ropes… it has earned the starting spot over the 3 iron.. How many do you all carry? thechrisgibbs, GolfSpy MPR, sirchunksalot and 1 other
DiscipleofPenick
I carry one. An Adam's Idea Pro Boxer Gold in 18*. It's one club I can reliably hit a fade with, even though they say hybrids are hook machines. I hit it in the 230 range and gets a lot of play at my home course as there's a bunch of holes I can't hit driver. sirchunksalot, thechrisgibbs, Shankster and 1 other 4 Quote Take Dead Aim Driver: PXG 0211 10.5* Fairway: Titleist 917 F3 15* Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Boxer Gold 18* Irons: MacGregor MT-86 Pro Wedges: Vokey 50/54/58 Putter: SeeMore X2 Costa del Mar Ball: Srixon Z-Star
Kansas King
Hybrids below 21* are a challenge for me. I don't know what it is about them but 2 hybrids are wild for me. I have no problem with a 15* 3 wood though. 4 minutes ago, DiscipleofPenick said: I carry one. An Adam's Idea Pro Boxer Gold in 18*. I can hit a nasty 3 wood off the tee, but off the deck is a different story. I worked on that today at the range. If I put it in the middle of my stance like a 7 iron I can hit it any direction I want. I also moved the driver ball position more toward the middle, with lowered the height and was like point and shoot. sirchunksalot, thechrisgibbs and JerBooth
GolfSpy MPR
Right now, two. Just bought a Tour Edge CBX 18° to play the 5 wood role, but with a shorter shaft. And then my Callaway XR Pro 20° is my 4-iron replacement. Both allow me to swing without everything going left. I think I can say with both that when I go left, it was my fault, not the club's fault. sirchunksalot, bens197, Shankster and 2 others 5 Quote TS3 9.5°, Tensei Blue CBX T3 15°, Project X HZRDUS Black Epic Super Hybrid 18°, Aerotech Steel Fiber FC HYB S C722 21°, Ventus Blue 8S CBX Iron-Wood 25°, Project X HZRDUS Black 6.0 639 CB, Aldila NV 95 Graphite, 6–PW CBX 48° T22 54° and 60° EAS 4.0, Garsen G-Pro grip TP5x and Tour Response Full WITB with pictures

No matter what I did this thing went left of left. Today it went laser beam straight. thechrisgibbs and sirchunksalot
Vegan_Golfer_PNW
i carry 2 of them. a Super hybrid (17* dialed down to 16*) as a 3w replacement and a sub70 939x 3H (19*). I have contemplated thinking i can hit a fairway wood again and wanting to game a shorter 16.5* FW and then lofting up the super hybrid. So is the tinkerer in me. sirchunksalot 1 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS Ventus Black 6x 44.5" 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with KBS PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with KBS Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter: L.A.B. TM may own Adams but I have yet to see many hybrids out of TM that are anything like what Adams made. TM hybrids are actually some of the ones I've liked the least. I'm sure they perform well for many but I've generally found them off putting. sirchunksalot
thechrisgibbs
I actually just bought this guy with these specs! Hoping to get it this year with lead times and such haha. I hit my 4 Iron 230 on the fly, so this fills the 250 slot between my 3 wood and 4 iron. I hit it best at the PGA SS with the weights forward at 17* of loft. Went with old reliable for me, the Project X Catalyst 80 X-Stiff shaft. This is going to replace my 2 iron (P790) and 2 hybrid (Callaway Apex Pro 19) that are currently in the bag. I typically only play a sand wedge (no lob), but I'm toying with the idea of changing up the wedge game a bit and sitting my 2 iron on the bench. Blueberry_Squishie
I use two with no fairway wood. When I was getting fitted for the top end of my bag, the fairways were all flying a bit too high, and the ones that flew lower were going too close to my driver distance for my liking. So I use a 16° and a 19° Srixon hybrid. The largest gap in my bag is between driver and the 16°, but I've never grumbled about not having a club from 240m out.
