den748
I've fallen in love with these team events. The most recent presidents cup in Australia was a gateway drug and now I'll watch this over the tour championship. Can't wait to see if the US can bring this thing home. I also love how Michelle Wie has taken on this role of ambassador to the Women's game. I'm not sure her career has been all she had hoped (not that it is bad by any definition) but she is staying close to the game and is a fabulous role model for ALL golfers, not just ladies. fixyurdivot
Team USA has some work to do in today's foursomes and tomorrows singles. Were it not for the very odd and controversial call on Nelly's eagle putt, they'd likely be down by 4-1/2 points. I'm not sure what TGC will offer me today in coverage (the reality of remote living broadcasts) but I'll definitely watch this if available. bens197
I look forward to the day where the ladies receive the recognition they deserve. There is so much talent on both teams and so far, it's been pretty fantastic to watch. Not only that...girls sports are just so fun to watch. Shapotomous
Regarding the ruling, I hope they had a better close up video replay to look at than I have been able to find to make that decision. It seems the rules official is the one that initiated looking at it further & the subsequent ruling on the putt being holed, not the American players. 2puttbogey
I guess I’m in the minority ,but I don’t find these types of events all that exciting. As much as I enjoy women’s golf I just don’t care for this type of format. With that said, how is there not one of these type events with someone versus Korea? sixcat
I question the coaching decision to put Salas/Kupcho out ahead of Kang/Ernst. I get wanting to put the hot team of Salas/Kupcho up against the hot EU team of McGuire/Reid but it could also frustrate Kang/Ernst having to play behind Salas all afternoon. fixyurdivot
I've seen a few analysis comparisons that show, by the numbers, women tour players are every bit as good as men... arguably marginally better. sixcat
Women’s golf is wildly entertaining. If it were covered with half as much fervor as the PGA Tour, more people would be able to see that. Equal talent, better personalities, better human beings, who are far more approachable and relatable than anyone on the PGA Tour. Thin2win
I'm in the same boat as a few in here, outside the majors I watch the LPGA on weekends. They have better personality, less goofy drama and play a version of golf I can relate to. Last I checked my playing yardages were basically LPGA tour average. 216, yep that's a hybrid on the LPGA. As for the matches today, Kupcho was killing it. tony@CIC, sixcat, Kanoito and 3 others 6 Quote WITB: Driver: SIM2 Max 12° - Accra TZ6 M4 FW Wood: Gen5 0311 7w Fujikura Motore X F3 Irons: ZX7 PW-7i, ZX5 6i-5i Wedges: Zipcore 50°, 58° Putter: MySpider X Cart: Onewheel XR+ Ball: Z-Star Diamond/ Z-Star XV

That is really saying something considering just how "pure and robotic", seemingly, the entire tour roster performs. Team USA has a pretty big hill to climb in today's singles. tony@CIC
Wife and I were there today with high expectations. Thankfully we got there a full 2 hours early so we were able to get a seat in the grandstands on the 1st tee. This is probably the most fun sporting event we've been to. The vibes were 10+! I wish I could have grabbed my phone quick enough to capture Bubba Watson and his singing debut. We were in the stands to see all of the groups tee off - but also spent some time at the practice areas. This is Jessica Kora on the practice green, Lizzette Salas is in the background. Once all of the groups teed off we walked over to the green on #8 to watch all of the groups go through. If you were watching and in particular Pederson's chip on #8 I was right behind her. MattWillGolf
This was such a fun event to watch. There were no losers here. So many of the European attended college in the US that it may it easy to root for them as well. The Solheim Cup isn’t plagued by the divisiveness that seems common in the Ryder Cup. I follow many of the players from both sides on social media. Aside from their amazing golf skills they do such a great job of engaging with their fans.
