IF you could improve one aspect of your game, what would it be?  For me, it would be putting.

I need to hit more GIR, only at 46% for the year.

Overall, this is how my game breaks down

Average 31 putts - not bad, but not amazing PGA average is 29 so just need a little improvement.

Chipping - This is by far the best part of my game. I feel like I can get up and down from the parking lot most days.

Irons - I guess weakest part? I really don't mishit them, like chunks or way off line, I just don't hit many greens. Maybe it's time for a fitting. I feel like most of my rounds I either hit 6 or 14 with nothing in between.

Driver - I don't track fairways, because the rough just isn't penal on Ohio public courses. 71% of the time I've hit a good drive. That means it's around my expected distance, and I don't have to punch out or bend a shot around trees.

wedges.  Miss too many greens with them and struggle on short pitches.

I'm mediocre at everything.

Nothing's great.

Nothing's catastrophic.

If I took the game more seriously from a competitive rather than social perspective,

I'm not sure whether or not I could have gotten a little better.  Maybe.

I certainly can't imagine myself obsessing over shaft selection at the launch monitor.

I suppose that I could have been a better chipper if I worked harder at it.

Probably still could be, even now.

I'm too fond of playing up in the air, I'm often told.

Wedge distance control inside 75 yards.  That, and not yipping on short-sided chips.

I see, Carl.  So you want to be a touring pro, then?

A couple of them are good at those things.

No, but I lose more strokes as a result of these shots than any other stat (in relation to a similar handicap player), thus the area I want to improve upon (particularly, my tendency to have chip-yips for no reason)

Poor strikes on anything off the turf from 75 yards and out.  Some days are OK; some days are 💩.

Sure, I get it;  practice but don't obsess.  Those are difficult shots for most of us.

I'd like to improve the driver and fairway woods. If I'm driving great I score a heck of a lot better, but if the driver gets me in trouble or out of position,my game isn't strong enough yet to recover those lost strokes.

Approach play. Off the tee (even on par 3's) wedges and putting are as a whole pretty sound this year.

I have been struggling massively getting on the green with just holistically pour irons. I think I could EASILY shave 3-4 strokes from my game if I consistently start making these shots. It has shown its face on a handful of rounds this year and its a beautiful thing when it does.

All my shot scope data keeps telling me that approach play is the biggest weakness. So that, more greens and closer. I don't really fire a pins, but I can get left going left and playing far enough right is hard so working to get that more neutral. If I stop losing so many shots there Shot Scope would be very happy.

Tee ball - even with the improved shot distribution I've seen with the Epic Speed, I still throw away way too many strokes with penalties off the tee.

Off the tee.  I already don't hit very far yet, and my driver (and woods) doesn't go particularly straight.  All of my game is still pretty terrible but nothing causes more havoc than the first shot of the hole.

Driving accuracy.  Being not in the junk 20% less of the time, I would be posting a lot better scores…. A lot better.

Same here. Not even talking FIR - just being in a solid spot for my 2nd shot would do wonders for my game. Too often I hit it well on the range and fall apart on the course. And what makes it worse is that it's still a 2-way miss. I'm just as likely to duck hook one off the planet as I am to hit a banana slice into the trees.

I played some extremely poor golf today. Lost every shot right. Even the pitch shots
