Hook DeLoft
I went by my local shop to get an iron bent and the Mizuno rep was there showing the owner the new MP irons that will be released in February. Unfortunately, the rep said no pictures. You can google for some pics online, but the ones I’ve found don’t do them justice. The models are 221 (muscle back), 223 (small cavity back) and 225 (hollow muscle back). The 221 has a top line you could shave with. The 223 and 225 are a little larger, about the size of the current MMC, so still a smaller players iron look. The 221 has a high polish finish, the other two have a brushed finish. The cavity back is available in left hand. Don’t know about the others. The rep said $175 per club. I just wish I had the game for them. TR1PTIK
I'd definitely be interested in seeing these irons in person. I've seen the photos, and while I'm not a huge fan of the throwback script (it's not terrible though) I do love the shaping. It's nice to see a continuation of the level of cleanliness we got with the MP-20 line. silver & black 1 Quote Driver: ST190 9.5* Fujikura Atmos Blue 5S Fairway Wood: ST190 15* Fujikura Atmos Blue 6S Hybrid: CLK 17* Fujikura Speeder EVO HB Irons: J40 CB (3-PW) Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Wedges: Milled Grind 2 54* & 58* Dynamic Gold S200 Putter: Tri-Hot 5k Two 34" Bag: Players 5 Stand Bag Ball: Maxfli Tour
BostonSal
I recently made the soul sucking discovery that old MP-52s are better than new JPX 921 Tours. I inevitably make these discoveries after I spend the money. DrRob1963
I am definitely thinking of upgrading my old reliable Mizuno MP-68s for a set of new Mizuno Pro 221s. The simply look fantastic, and I reckon they will feel & play fantastic as well! P.S. I wonder if I need a new set of Mizuno MP-22 wedges as well???
