This is probably one of the more underrated things Ping does. I may look into getting this done on my i15s now that you bring this up. I remember thinking about getting it done a couple years ago then I stopped playing with the i15s. Now that I'm reconsidering my i15s, this may not be a bad idea.

I called the customer service line.  Be aware they have limited operating hours, M - F 7:00am to 11:00am MST.  The customer service rep created the work order and provided an estimated quote ($17/club).  They give you a reference number to put on the shipping box and their shipping address in AZ.  UPS 2 Day from CA was $21 for 8 irons.

The Ping tech called me 2 days later confirming the requested work and then took payment.  Hardest part of this whole process was playing loaner clubs that weekend 🙂

I love the dark grey finish on the G30's.  I believe the G series that came afterwards was more of a silver color (and added ferrules).

Definitely agree KansasKing.  It's an awesome value added service that is affordable and fast.

Where are you located in Kansas?  I lived in JoCo for about 2 years back in the early 2000's...sure do miss Joe's KC/Oklahoma Joes and Jack Stack.

I live in the biggest city in Kansas. Unfortunately the BBQ isn't as good here but there are a few joints that do a few really good things. I'm still waiting for one of the BBQ restaurants in KC like KC Joes or Jack Stack to try opening one here. I also want the Big Biscuit to open a location here but that hasn't happened yet either although they did open a Topeka location so there may be hope.

Wanted to share the awesome work that Ping did with my iron refresh.  I should have taken some before shots because they were in fairly rough shape being 7 years old and seeing about 40 - 50 rounds a year.  $17/club to get them looking as good as almost new - they even bent (black to red) my SW replacement that I purchased off Ebay after losing my original.

New paint, badges, buffed and returned with iron covers.  They received on 9/10 and I received back on 9/16.  Exceptional work and service and cost.

Thanks for the tips.  I called this morning and set up refurbishing my G30 irons.  Ping couldn't be easier to work with.  For $130 the irons will look like new.

To serve as another example of Ping's excellent customer service, attached are photos of my G30 irons they refurbished.  I sent them last Wednesday, they arrived in Phoenix last Friday and were on my doorstep in Key West today.  I couldn't be happier with the outcome.  They look almost brand new.

I did have to pay a little extra for the bad shot exorcism service on each iron, but it was worth it!

Thanks StormierCanine3 for your post and help getting this done.

G2M - Those G30's came out great.  Hope you're hitting them well.

I'm about to send my G410 irons back.  Unfortunately, their proprietary Hydropearl finish on their newer irons/wedges cannot be refinished to "new".  They will be able to refill the paint lines and buff out any big nicks but the faces won't come out like the Karstens or G30's.

Still a great deal for a great service...Just under $20/club to regrip the 410's with new CP2 Pro's and the whole refurb process.  Will start a new thread with pics when they come back so folks have an idea of what to expect with the new 400 line.

I have a 4-PW set of Ping Eye 2s (orange dot) - lol - refreshing them would probably cost more than they cost me/are worth, but I really loved them and have yet to have the heart to get rid of them.

Anything ideas on whether they refresh that old, or is it only more modern clubs?

Should be the same price for your Ping Eye 2's.  Ironically, it's the new clubs that they cannot refurbish to look as good as new.  When I called to get a quote on my G410's, the rep advised that the newer irons & wedges with the hydrophobic finish cannot be refinished like the older models.  Your irons are legend...you should call and get a quote.

Also, +1 for orange dot (now that's flat) & +1 for Santa Clarita (Awesometown!)

Hah! When I got fitted for my Sim Max irons beginning of 2020 (the "Before Times"), the fitter laughed at me because I consistently hit the lie board at 2° flat - is it because I had the Orange dot, or did I gravitate to the orange dot because I had (unaware as I may have been) a flat delivery? Chicken/egg scenario.

Yes to Santa Clarita! We moved up here a year ago, and are really loving it. I do wish there were more public courses, but LA is only 45 minutes away, so I why complain too loudly. Plus, Sand Canyon is a legitimately beautiful course.

I actually just gave my set of PE2s to a busy who was playing (i sh*t you not) Jack Lemmon's old set of Acushnet irons (blades, naturally) from the FIFTIES. He worked on a movie with Jack and when JL found out my buddy liked golf, gave him an old set from his garage. They were garbage (for my friend who needs all the help he can get), but that story makes them priceless.

Priceless story for sure!  Sand Canyon used to be a 36 hole course until they shut down the front nine of the original Mountain course.  The new owner has done a very decent job with the Mountain, Valley and Desert 9's since taking over.  Not sure if you've had the chance to play Rancho Vista in Antelope Valley but it's a good track and only 30 minutes away.  Other local-ish courses you may want to check out if you haven't already: Rustic Canyon, Moorpark CC, and Tierra Rejada - all in Moorpark, Sterling Hills in Oxnard, and Olivas Links in Ventura (especially now that summer has started).

I should call about my Karsten I irons.  Orange dot.  I was 4 when they were made.  In great shape and we’re my Mom’s.

Here to learn the game and join others who enjoy ruining a good walk.

Kinda wish I still had my ping eye 2+ irons, all I’ve got left is the one iron. Very nice job, thanks for the photos.

I’m a hacker who loves nothing more than to change how I play, be that grips shafts and heads its all fair game lol…
