PXG Gen4 0811X Driver

Has anyone compared the PXG 0811X driver to a SIM2? 

 

The 0811X is much cheaper than the SIM2, but does it perform as well?

I have hit both,  they both perform well but performance will be specific to you and your swing.  Basically how to you react to the club and are the components the best fit.

I had the 0211 and that thing felt and sounded amazing.  I can't imagine that the 0811X is a vast improvement.  Biggest difference as mentioned is the ability to move around the weights, which for me isn't an issue.  I tend to tinker too much when I have the opportunity to LOL.

I tend to agree with Bigjim1013 if I have the ability to tinker with settings I usually get myself in trouble. I am going to get fitted for some PXG irons and will test the 0211 driver at the same time. I'm really looking forward to the experience.

I haven't hit the Sim2 but for me the 0811 XF is the best driver I've played in quite awhile. Sim, F9, G30.

I have the Ping g425 driver and the new 0811 x driver...   I bought the 7.5 degree driver hoping to get additional fairway roll...   The driver is probably 15 to 20 yds shorter in carry than the Ping, but the overall distance is probably 5 to 10 yds more on firm fairways....   The sound of the 0811 x is dull, unless you hit exactly in the middle...  not a very big sweet spot for a modern driver...

I hit the 0211 this weekend and I thought it had a strange dull sound too. Sounds nothing like my Titleist driver. For the price, I want to love the PXG...just didn't have a great feel/sound to me.

I was playing the Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo before buying the PXG 0811. The sound to me is like a solidly hit baseball with an aluminum bat. Solid and not tinging but, a whack is the best way to describe it. I enjoyed playing the Launcher but, everyone on the course knew where I was when I hit it. I've played about 6 rounds and I still stand by my previous post.
