Driver: Titleist TSi1 9.0 Aldila Ascent 40g R 

FW: Titleist TSi2 16.5 GD IZ6 60 G 

Hybrid Titleist TSi1 20 & 23 Aldila 80G 

Iron 2021 Titleist T300 5-P MCA Red 65g R

Wedge: Vokey SM8 50.10F 54.12D 58.12D

Putter: Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2 35”

 

 

Yep, I know what they say about having an all 1 OEM bag.  That you are hurting yourself somewhere if you do.   Well that may ultimately be true.  But I also feel If you are confident and like what’s in your bag, that is just as Important and possibly more so than any technical difference.  
 

So this is what I’m rolling with. One substitution that could be made. I have a U505 coming that could replace the 16.5 Fairway wood.

There is.  It was on loan that afternoon to someone demoing it.  I forgot when I took them out for the pics.  But it’ll be back in its place soon.

The MVP goes to the Ping Glide 58 that made it a whole whopping year+ and two WITB photos.   Now, if you had to make a WITB best of the best to play for the next 5 years out of all of those, what would you choices be?  (Nice sneaky little Nike Vapor in there too)

Very nice bag. If going mono-brand I think Titleist is hard to beat. Especially wedges and putter.

You missed the Futura 7 X7M that lasted two full years.  I still think that might be the best putter I've had.  It's close with that and the PING Tyne 4.   

Interesting question on the best of WITB.  I'll have to give that some thought and post it.  Of course it will be just the listed version as many of the actual clubs have moved on

The Vapor is funny.  I had just started my job here at the Golf Course and the Nike rep at the time (he's now the TaylorMade rep) was one of the first ones I met and was showing us the new lineup.  He showed me the price we get for personal use, and I said sign me up

It wasn't the best driver I've ever had, but it got some good comments on the color

I agree completely, I keep waiting for someone on tour to put in a T300 4 iron or something for a long iron, but in reality they'd probably go with a T200 or U505, but I'm sure one of those guys could hit a T300 4 iron probably 270 and as high as Spieths shot went on 17 from that side hill lie

I did indeed! Two years has got to be a record.  Interesting way into the Vapor though.  Great sounding driver and good for an occasional bomb, but definitely not the most forgiving of clubs.  You're spot on about the comments.  That thing is an attention magnet.

I can’t remember off the top of my head who the PGA tour player is, but I know there is one for sure that is using game improvement irons right nowI can’t remember off the top of my head who the PGA tour player is, but I know there is one for sure that is using game improvement irons right now

do you count Stroke Lab as an exotic shaft?    I have that in my odyssey OG 7w Otherwise, No not at all.  I’m not really into exotic shafts in any clubs.  Two reasons.  I don’t have the swing speed to make a difference.   Well my putter swing speed is pretty close to tour level speed I think

2nd reason, after speaking to several OEM R&D people, I feel the stock shafts of today are so much better than they were even 3-5 years ago.  So the average golfer—not your forum addicts—-aren’t going to see a huge difference for the price.   I consider myself the Average Golfer—-oh wait that name has been taken, hasn’t it

I knew I really liked Higgs for a reason! 

You know how things go on trends.  It would be crazy but I’ll say not impossible, that if GI irons keep improving their looks like the T300, G425, P79O, RadSpeed and ZX5 to name a few.  You might start seeing more of them pop up on tour in the next 5 years or so. 
 

I’m fully on board with these T300 GI irons.

That good that you don't have an exotic shaft addition, its a tough one. I have a fine taste for high-end putter shafts lol.
