revkev Posted September 30, 2021 Share Posted September 30, 2021 So I play some with a young man who is in the current stage of Korn Ferry Q school. It’s a very complicated qualifying process with multiple layers. He is the the 1st stage but like most there had to go through prequalifying and did well. This stage is 4 rounds, 21 advance. He’s currently -4 after 3 rounds T24 one stroke outside that cut. Talk about pressure. In searching out how Winton was doing I saw in a completed first stage a familiar name, Jake Kevorkian. Jake went to our school and I had him on the golf team in 8th grade (had to twist his arm to get him to play and then he could play in tournaments because of his grades) He was a solid 4, playing from the tips at his club, a Joe Lee course, as an 8th grader. In doing done research he has a reasonable chance to qualify - he shot -10 in his region and finished 6.
