Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Going to try to up my game by getting into some overspeed training to go along with Fit For Golf. The unit I am going to use is the MaxSwingSpeed trainer. It runs $99 MSRP and the creator is always running at least a 10% deal. It is a 5 weight system (Each weight is 50g) and the length varies from 41" to 43". Looking for some gains here and to present another option from Super Speed and Rypstick for others. Mine is arriving this weekend and my radar soon after. Then the fun will begin. jayjay0808
I won mine in one of his draws. I can attest I have seen increases in swing speed over the season. I am not gonna claim I gained 10 mph but beginning this season I was about 112 mph, now up closer to 116 mph cksurfdude, RollingGreens and Vegan_Golfer_PNW 3 Quote In my bag: Driver: Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS 10.5* (set to 9.5) UST Lin-Q Gunmetal 6f5 Wood: Tsi2 15* Project X RDX Black 70 6.5 Hybrids: King Utility 19.5* Diamana Tensei White Pro 90TX Irons: Cobra King Tour MIM 4-PW Dynamic Gold 120 X100 Wedges: Milled Grind 3 50*, 54*, 58* Tour Issue S400 Putter: Nashville Z1C 34" Ball: Pro V1x

Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Day one. 34 degrees out and flu shot yesterday so sluggish. After chatting with mike carrol from fit for golf I will only be doing dominant side swings. Some swings off likely do to prgr setup. The weights are super easy to swap out. The trainer for a steel shaft seems kinda flexy. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Warmer today by 15 degrees compared to Tuesday (balmy 48*). only a 1 mph gain from pre to post today. Granted one of the post swings I drop kicked so that really should count. Some could be prgr readings. If you take the fastest two it was a 4 mph gain. The weights seemed harder to use today. Don’t know if it was the dampness or what. As well I notice my driver feeling significantly heavier after the trainings. Thinking I need to put the stock 12g weight back in instead of the 18g I bought to add some forgiveness (max ls). Vegan_Golfer_PNW
All relative so small uptick. Slower today. I think some of the low readings due to prgr set up, I think I was too close to it today. Need to maybe fine tune things a bit. Love this as a trainer. Afterwards it makes the driver feel super heavy still. Like a sledge hammer. I almost feel amazed I can top 90 with it afterwards, yet again, there was a 100+. Pre avg for the week was 92 mph. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Start of week 3. Doubling my swing volume. Was wet and drizzling. For whatever reason the prgr had a bunch of misreads, hence only two data points in post swings and some low points on other swings. Also whacked the trainer into the dirt on a side step (SS) swing. Held up ok but probably should try to avoid that. Maybe swings on a less slippery surface next time instead of wet dirt. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Back slightly sore still but felt good after loosening up. Big gains today. Starting to see it with my irons too. Some 7i carries were 170-180 on prgr. At my fitting, my 7i carry was 165 normalized. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Numbers not making sense today. I think I need to find a different local to swing. so many misreads. Old playground area not working so well for readings (same area as Tuesday). Not like the range on Thursday where everything read great. Plus side, if I can believe any readings, my only pre training Swings are the highest they ever have been. I look forward to my speed training days now since I am seeing gains. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Back from resting my back for ten days. Started with week 1 protocol and might stick with that 4 weeks. Extreme back pain on my lower right side. Hurt to sleep. Complete rest for three days with icing. Then some light mobility exercises (cat cows and prone Y) with stretching. fixyurdivot
OK, your thread has now solidified my decision over swing speed training... I'll move up a tee box when I need extra distance . I think it is totally worth it . Vegan_Golfer_PNW
Even though I took some time off for my back my pre training speed picked up. I think doing the week one/2 program for at least another week, maybe two will help me hold. Then back to side step swings. Hit 110 on a preswing which shocked me. Might get out to the course to see if these gains correlate with a ball. maxswingspeed
Hello all, my name is Andrew and I am the inventor of the MaxSwingSpeed trainer. rbsiedsc was kind enough to message me about this thread he started and as long as I'm not breaking any forum/site rules I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has about the trainer or training programs. If there are any issues with me commenting here please let me know and I will remove myself immediately. Thanks!
