fixyurdivot
Two events B2B in Sin City... I wonder how much money the guys won and lost during this 2 week stay in the area? It would be a pretty fun couple of weeks for golf fans to spend in Vegas. Attend the events and likely run into a few players at the casinos and buffets (PGA players do buffets, right? ). Shadow Creek GC is really stunning looking on TV, I'd love to give it a try. Jason Kokrak returns to defend his 2020, first tour victory. We see a good many more of the top players return to include 17 of the Ryder Cup teams players. I was so far off base in my predictions for last week (Na and Scheffler) that I should sit out picking this week... but I won't. Harris English and Cameron Smith duke it out on Sunday. Who are you picking? I'm sure the players like having B2B events at the same place - travel must get old for them. I see you are in Reno. I pass through there each summer when I go to see my brother and sister in Sacramento. I did not go this year due to the fires/smoke but in 2020, I stayed overnight there on my way back home and played Lakeridge and Wolf Run. That signature hole at Lakeridge is pretty cool and, I made the green from the middle tee . I liked both courses. I paired up with a FedEx co-pilot at Lakeridge who is right seat on 777 freighters. We got totally lost in discussing that airplane the entire round. The course is nice but and the greens there are always lightning. fixyurdivot 1 Quote Driver: Callaway Paradym Triple diamond 10.5 Ventus black TR 6x 3 wood ; Callaway Paradym triple diamond 15 degree, Ventus black TR 7x Apex UW 19 degree, Ventus black TR 8x Utility Iron: Mizuno Pro Fli Hi 4 utility, Ventus blue HB 90X Irons: Callaway Apex MB 5-PW, KBS $ taper 130x Wedges: Callaway Jaws Raw 50, 54, 58, KBS $ taper 130x Putter: Wilson Staff TM22, hand torched, KBS cutter putter shaft, Super stroke Pistol GT 1.
fixyurdivot
Well Jason has left himself a heck of a steep climb trying to defend his title. He secured dead last, #78 position, all to himself . Nice showing from Rickie at -6. He acknowledged and thanked the sponsors for the exemption. It seems odd to say Rickie Fowler and sponsor exemption in the same sentence... but that's how fickle this game can be. Players seemingly go from the penthouse to the outhouse at the flip of a switch. These "no cut" events take the drama out of the typical events. I kind of get the WGC events (limited fields) but It's not clear to me why several others also have no cut - anyone know? fixyurdivot
How cool is it seeing Jim Mackay on JT's bag. Obviously it's just in his blood and being there first hand is something he was missing. Hard to say how this gels but it could be lightening in a bottle. Meanwhile, Keith Mitchell hasn't seen a putt on the course that gives him concern. Someone is going to need to bring a mega size Atlas Van Lines truck on moving day tomorrow to catch him. The manner in which it did a near half circle around the green and just perfect speed into the cup was really cool. fixyurdivot
Who is this Rickie guy? He's still gaming the MMT iron shafts - how is this possible . Plenty of holes left today to take the outright lead into tomorrows final round Kenny B and Rickp 1 1 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review)

fixyurdivot
Rory joins the "20 or more" wins club... joining a very select group. A really good final round with Morikawa posting a crazy good round and Rickie looking like he may be back to form. I was listening to the round on PGA Tour radio while driving to southern Utah for our overnight stay in route to AZ. Listening to golf on the radio is kind of fun... much like listening to baseball games, it makes your mind work at imagining the situations, shots, and putts. I've never listened to golf on the radio, but I can picture what you are saying. I used to enjoy listening to baseball on the radio. Living in Cincinnati in the late 80's/early 90's, I remember Joe Nuxhall and Marty Brennaman. They really could paint a picture with their words.
