Marv Town 3
I've always been a Bridgestone fan. Old,slow speed always found Bridgestone balls worked for me,and costs less Quote 65 year old in Michigan
thegolfgal 81
We had something interesting happen here with the members. They found the Bridgestone spins better for them and folks are starting to drift to the dark side. I am not a high spin player but switched to Bridgestone years ago when the NXT Tours went over 30 bucks a dozen.

You saw Rory use a Cameron putter when he went overseas.....he has made his money so i would not be shocked to see him change and do whatever he wants. From Titleist to Nike to TaylorMade.....he isnt adverse to change, thats for sure Quote Golf is cool

Putter is also the club most commonly not a part of club deals due to the personal nature and some guys using the same putter forever. He prefers a lower spinning ball and signed with TM because of the ball as well as how the ball performed with the equipment. He’s winning with that combo and it’s the putter that usually gets in his way of winning. 1 minute ago, BMart519 said: Didn't he change from Nike because they stopped making equipment? He then spent time with Tm and decide on their gear because of performance. The 10 year $100 million probavky had a role in it too because from what I’ve heard the crew at callaway didn’t want to pay that. 1 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

Many players use their irons for years and years.....Rory could have continued to use his Nike irons, but he got big money from TM. Rory does NOT prefer a lower spinning ball. . He switched from TP5X to TP5 because of Tigers influence in 2020, see below. Rory likes TP5 over TP5X We know he went back to the TP5x for 2021 but keep in mind the 2021 TP5X is very similar to the 2019 TP5.....while the 2021 TP5 is MUCH more of a spin monster with lower compression than the earlier version. These guys are such perfectionists and im sure if something else can improve his game, he will shred a contract to use whatever he wants. He has always been a rebel of sorts. Now that he has his money, i can see him changing quite easily.....but only if it works better for him Edited October 27, 2021 by Tsecor 1 Quote Golf is cool

He hasn’t messed with those versions of the ball. He didn’t think about going to the Prov1 with the new designs if they balls in 2019. There is zero evidence that he would consider switching to the newest designs so your speculations is based on purely personal experience with the ball that also has zero correlation to how they would perform for a golfer of Rory’s ability. Outside of his messing with putters because of varying issues with his stroke there’s nothing in his use of equipment that he would break contract to play a different ball or club that isn’t a putter from another brand. He played with Poulter this year at tem he Ryder cup and I don’t recall what ball they used but he probably had the chance to mess with it in practice rounds. If he was going to switch it try it he would have done so already 1 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

Nobody said he would consider switching, it was just a thought..... this is just a bizarre post to a light hearted discussion.....not sure why you are on the attack but i'll move on from here and you can post whatever you wish.
