AndrewG
I've got a couple of putters, a beautiful Bettinardi Mizuno, and a new Odyssey WhiteIce, both of which have one of those 'satin' metal finishes, albeit different colours. Its the Bettinardi I'm most annoyed at though, its picked up a scratch from a bit of grit on the underneath (probably from tapping down a pitch mark repair or something)... Can't see any way of repairing it though - unless anyone knows of a DIY top-tip? Addicted2Golf
I'm interested in this also. And what about stainless? Is there a way to remove very fine scratches from stainless without having to send it for an expensive re-finish? AndrewG
Well - took a stab in the dark, and gave a very fine auto-grade abrasive pad a try. Cut some small squares, and just worked back and forth with the grain of the satin finish. Judge for yourselves if its helped Quote Current Handicap (UK) 13.1 Current Bag Cobra S9.1 10.5 + 3W Cobra SZ 3I-9I, PW, GW Vokey 52 & 60 Rife 400 Series Half Mallet

SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 11, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 11, 2010 Very nice. This is great to file away. I was going to suggest the magic eraser. Not even trying to be silly. That wacky eraser has done wonders to clubs that I thought I had scarred for life.
