saz0418
The answer is YES! I cannot recommend this enough. On Amazon, the AILEMON 6X Golf Range Finder, 1000/1200 Yard Laser RangeFinder with Slope Switch, Scan, Flagpole Lock, and Speed Function, Tournament Legal Golf Rangefinder. I bought mine in 2020. I have literally charged it, like, 4 or 5 times in 2 years. I charges USB (Micro USB, I think) and comes with the charging cord. It does slope, it vibrates when you hit the flag. IT IS $73.00!! Not $300... $200... $100. $73 bucks. I play 3 - 5 times a week and it just goes and goes and goes on a single charge. Amazing for the money. I had a Bushnell and a couple of other mid-price range-finders. I will take this one all day. I've tried it out once, and so far it seems to work just as fast and reliable as the more expensive ones. I've already lost two brand name rangefinders, so now I am trying this new strategy of buying a cheap one and see which occurs first: it breaking, or me losing it Verdict after second round. Seems to be very correct in distance, and just as good handling. I also upped my game a bit and had a couple of great wedge shots, so that might make me a bit biased right now Still too early for any real product judgement, but so far I don't see a reason to go for a more expensive name brand. sixcat
My wife and daughters gave me the Precision Pro NX7 Pro Slope for my birthday in September. I've used it now for approximately 20 rounds and couldn't be happier. For $200, you'll not find anything better. It doesn't have a magnet to hang on the cart, which wasn't important to me. It may be to some so they have other models with magnets. I walk and it hangs on the side of my Clicgear 3.5. https://www.precisionprogolf.com/product/nx7-pro-slope/ CudaKota66
schindiddy
I bought a "cheap" one from Amazon and it has performed brilliantly. It also has the added benefit of taking regular AAA batteries which are easy to keep in the bag for emergency battery changes. It is a YUNDOO brand, but I'm not sure if it still available. I'm sure any cheap chinese rangefinder would most likely be the same exact thing, made in the same factory. Don't have any qualms about getting a cheap one from Amazon. It even has the slope feature (which I don't ever use). It came with a nice little carrying case as well.
chisag
... Costco ($129) and TGW ($149) sell the same unit with different names and it works well enough. The only real difference compared to my Bushnell is the Bushnell is fast finding the flag and produces a jolt quickly. The CaddyTec sometimes needs a few tries before locking in. But numbers for yardage and slope yardage are equally accurate. https://www.costco.com/caddytek-golf-laser-rangefinder%2c-caddyview-v2-%2bslope.product.100419508.html https://www.tgw.com/tgw-players-slope-rangefinder-with-pin-validation Quote Cobra 50th Anniversary Member Special Challenge/Testing Bag (Link Here) Driver: Stealth2 HD 10.5* ... I bought a PrecisionPro NX7 Pro Slope a couple years ago (when it was a more current model) on sale at $40-50 off and it has served me well, I get the same readings at the same speed as my buddies with $500 Bushnells, etc. You can buy an NX7 Pro Slope for $179.99 today FWIW. I also purchased a PrecisionPro NX7 Pro Slope rangefinder 2 to 3 years ago when it was PP’s top-of-the-line model. It is very good, but I don’t like the optics as well as I do on my 7 year old Bushnell, which still works fine. I also find that the PP NX7 often takes its sweet time to lock on the target, including the flag, and sometimes it requires multiple attempts to get it to give a readout at all. Franc38
I have a Boblov that I got from Amazon a few years back (3? 4? can't say for sure, I changed the CR2 battery 3 times I think, and use it "roughly"). It's got slope, vibration, it's not the fastest ever when using pin lock but in standard mode it's pretty much instantaneous, the distances are never more than 1 yard off from what friends with Nikon's or Bushnell's expensive units get, The only negative is that the dioptric adjustment doesn't stay in place so I have to fiddle with the thinggy about once per round to have a pin sharp image. Other than that, my 90 dollars unit performs just as well as the "big boys" and I certainly will replace it when it dies (probably in a looooong time) with a similar unit. I might actually change before it dies or does anything wrong, just to get the "newer things" like a visible and easy to access slope toggle and a possibility for red display as I often play dusk golf! mgatesjr
I've been using a BlueTees Series 1 that includes slope and vibrates when you lock on to the pin, and recommend it. It was ~$150 a year ago, and the yardages seem to be in sync with the more expensive models (Bushnells, Callaway) that my regular playing partners use. If there's a 2-3 yard disparity, I haven't found that it has had any negative impact on my game. Quote Marcus
GolfSpy Barbajo
The gang at ShotScope dropped a new model, the Pro L2 last week, to little or no fanfare. Saw it at the PGA Show - it's a solid little (as in smaller than their others), with slope and a built-in magnet for $150. Gavin says you'll find it a tick slower in target acquisition than their Pro LX models (which are very good), but it represents a dandy value at a buck-fitty. And the lack of fanfare was intentional - they dropped the X5 watch the same day. They'll give the new laser some love after the Masters. Sold out on ShotScope.com - but it should be available through Golf Galaxy. Click here to check it out. I bought it on eBay directly from Mileseey for under $100. It had 6X optics, flag lock, slope and other features similar to higher end rangefinders. On eBay now, you can get the same rangefinder for roughly $80 and more updated ones (with magnet holders, etc.) for under $100. I found them to give fast and accurate measurements as compared with my golfing buddies who own significantly more expensive devices. Used the Milessey PF260 for the last couple of years, cost £75 on eBay and has never let me down. Ok it’s not a Bushnell, but that’s the point I don’t need a named brand to give me accurate distances 200 yards in. funkyjudge
Precision Pro or Blue Tees are the two best, IMO. KC Golf
Have you thought about buying a used Bushnell? It may not be new but it’s a very good range finder. With the new version coming out next month, I would think a lot of people will upgrade and sell, their perfectly good old one. I find my 5 year old Bushnell still works great. jbern
I have a THGOLF from Amazon rangefinder that I got last July for $60. So far so good with it. I double check it every once in a while with a gps app and been close every time. I also tested it against a buddy’s callaway rangefinder and it was always about 1-2 yards shorter than the callaway. I figure since it’s consistent, it’s working properly. The main features I wanted was slope and a rechargable battery (this one is USB-c). I do find that it takes 2-4 attempts to get the flag at over 220 yards. I don’t know about its durability because I keep it in the case unless I’m actively using it, I haven’t dropped it and I haven’t used it in rain yet. I would recommend it if you’re strictly looking for cheap. However, if I were playing more serious events I would probably get something more expensive.
