null
Just now, Nolan220 said: Interesting … didn’t he have like a ridiculous price that had to be met for him to sign a deal ? Or did I make this up ? Well he was still being paid by NIke. So he was essentially getting paid by Nike to play whatever he wanted. If he signed another deal then it would have offset the Nike deal so he never signed anything. I guess his Nike equipment contract is finally expiring GolfSpy_APH, Nolan220 and Headhammer

fixyurdivot
I'm kind of disappointed. His independent, no club sponsor status was a better fit for his Lone Ranger persona. Plus, I totally thought he would end up on PING's staff . tchat07
The one guy who seemed to be heeding the MGS mantra of being unbranded has taken up a brand. A bit surprised he decided to go this route but the company makes sense since he already had the irons in the bag.
RickyBobby_PR
Already talk about in this thread. He was getting paid by nike to play whatevs he wanted. He switched to Srixon irons at the beginning of the year, no surprise he signed with them. Who wouldn’t take some guaranteed cash for clubs you were already playing and some others. Willie T
Meh - he’s just following the money. His name on a Srixon bag won’t inspire me anymore than Rahm on Callaway or Rory on TaylorMade. Please keep in mind I really like watching these guys play at the highest level. For Srixon it adds a domestic face to go with its International face in Hideki. The cynical side of me says it’s just a sponsor deal that puts more money in his multi-millionaire bank accounts. Quote WITB?
