BodeenJCS 2
Just a heads up , My local driving range and club fitter told me that the taylormade rep stopped by yesterday ( I wasnt there ) with the new Taylormade Stealth Driver for 2022 . It has a carbon graphite face ( no titanium ) and its black and red with a matching black and red ventus shaft that the owner there described as really neat ... He was also allowed to hit a few ... He was impressed ... Why he didnt call me and take a few pics is not nice ...lol Apparently the crown is painted and the carbon is not noticeable and the reveal is coming early January 2022 ... jayjay0808 1,218
Thank you for sharing... Typically carbon graphite is not as durable as titanium, if this is true I would be interested to see how Taylormade make sure the face is durable. BodeenJCS 2
Thats the first thing I asked about , durability , and he claimed the rep told him that they have been testing this face for years to get it right ... We shall see ...

Carbon Fiber is lighter so it can be thicker than titanium which should give it more strength. All we can do is wait and see. 3 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* set to 16.5* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 816H1 19* set at 18* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 5-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: T20 54-8 588 58-12 Putter: Directed Force 2.1 Backups: TM-180, Milled Collection RSX 2, Bellum Winmore 787, mFGP2, Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

03trdblack 1,082
Looks like they are taking a page out of their 2013 Japanese Gloire release and applying the carbon fiber face to the stealth driver instead of using a titanium face. This has to free up a TON of weight up front from the heaviest part of the face so that they can move it around to other areas of the head. I'd bet you can really tune the performance of the face as well since you are essentially putting in layers of carbon fiber where you want to control the flex across the face. 3 1 Quote My bag is a revolving door! Didn't realize that TM used carbon fiber in the face in a previous model, thanks for the info. Lefty19 34
Saw it on golfwrx- yeah- I'll wait for next year's model and see how this crop does first. John Bachman 55
Not sure I’d be interested as I got a new driver this last year and am not really a TM guy. I did talk to someone who happened to hit next years Cobra driver, which I believe will go back to the LTD moniker. They said was a absolute monster. Will be interested to see how it looks and the testing goes.

Like I mentioned earlier, keep in mind that they started using a carbon fiber face tech in the Japanese (JDM) market as early as around 2013 with the Gloire line of drivers. We're just now getting a taste of it here in the US so the tech is going to be well tested already. Quote My bag is a revolving door!

This is true. Altho it really isn't stated we encourage members to wait or find these leaked photos elsewhere unless they are posted by the OEM. Keep in mind with our testing these OEM's are giving MGS product to test for our members and we like to abide by their release dates. Truthfully these photos can be found just about anywhere so it won't take much searching, but again we will hide posts if they are leaked early. Don't want a small leaked photo to be the cause of potentially not getting a testing opportunity! 5 Quote as of April 15, 2022 SuperSpeed 2020 from 100-112 and climbing! 03trdblack 1,082
I'm still not sure how companies like Taylormade think that media embargoes apply to individuals on social media. Individuals don't have any sponsorships to lose and aren't a part of any media organizations so how exactly can they demand someone remove pictures they find around on the internet? WE all know pictures get leaked; some intentionally some not. They may request an individual to remove it from social media like twitter, facebook, instatgram but probably wouldn't do anything if you didn't. An individual posting pictures on sites like MGS, WRX, THP, etc will probably result in the site owners being notified and requested to remove the pictures with threats of legal action if they don't. Media outlets typically have non disclosure agreements in place. 2 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: TS3 15* set to 16.5* w/Project X Hzardous Smoke Hybrids: 816H1 19* set at 18* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 5-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: T20 54-8 588 58-12 Putter: Directed Force 2.1 Backups: TM-180, Milled Collection RSX 2, Bellum Winmore 787, mFGP2, Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
