sky mark

This weekend my dumbass tried hitting my 3 wood out of a very fluffy lie and skyed it leaving a pretty large scuff on the crown.  Has anyone used a scratch remover product like the one below to repair a scuffed fairway wood?  Or do you have suggestions for another solution?

Scuffs are usually just in the clear/epoxy coat. So any decent light cutting compound or polish will get rid of it. Megs ultimate polish appears to have good success, can't comment on the linked product though. just remember to test a small inconspicuous area before you go all out with it

A few years ago our group was last out and we decided to play the back 9 with a 3 club only rule.   I tried to sort of really lay off and bunt a driver and I got a weird tee paint mark on the white seem of the original M1.

nothing worked to get it off until a friend recommended Nu Finish.  It comes in an orange bottle and it’s for car scratches.  Cleaned the driver right up.

I literally just fixed a sky mark on my TaylorMade mini driver 2 minutes ago after a quick google that led me to a post on these forums from six years ago. Dab some toothpaste on your finger, rub it into the mark for a few seconds, then gently wipe it away with a moist towel. It worked perfectly!

Meguiars Ultimate Compound does a good job.  It also breaks down as you use it to prevent you from doing damage.   Hopefully it is just in the clearcoat.
