sirchunksalot
The social photos of the SM9 look great! I thought the 8's were sexy, but that new design is nice. Right now I'd be looking at getting the 8 if I were in the market once the price drops. GolfSpy_SHARK

ChuckZ
I personally cannot wait for their official release to the general public. As a Titleist loyalist and member of Team Titleist, we received this announcement this morning. Of course they do make their debuts on the tour first to get the feedback from the pros. "New Vokey Design SM9 wedges (the next generation of the PGA Tour’s most-played wedges) are making their debut this week at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui. Bob Vokey, Aaron Dill, and the rest of the Vokey team have spent the past 2 years tirelessly testing and refining prototypes with the top players in the world. Now it’s time to put them through their final test on golf’s biggest stage. Be sure to stay tuned to Titleist.com and our social channels (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) over the coming weeks for updates as the introduction of SM9 wedges rolls out across the worldwide professional tours." juspoole
I've tried a several other wedges over the past 15 years and the Vokeys always seem to have the right balance and look for me. I don't see that there is anything interesting or different with these compared to the last couple models, but there hasn't really had to be. As a Lefty, my options are narrowed from the start, so I appreciate when companies have several options available. Lots of good wedges out there and much comes down to feel and look preference over the fitting part of it in opinion, second only to a putter. With irons, hybrid, and woods, it seems like technology plays a larger role for me at least. Fubar
I am highly confident that the reason for the new wedges is that the list price on the SM8 is $159 and several other manufacturers are getting over $200 for their new wedges. So, I'm expecting a price of $199 for these.

Slowstriker
Just got Vokey SM9 in 54 F Grind and 58 D Grind. They replaced 2 CBX 2 wedges that were too ‘bulky’. They will go with my Titleist T300 irons and have the same Mitsubishi Fubuki MV shafts. 8” of snow today, so I won’t know if this was a good switch until either in a simulator or Spring.
