Honestly. It wasn’t your SM9 post.   This goes back several years to us trying to have them all as official posts.  Just ask @jlukes lol!

It’s just last year I wasn’t in position to get them all up right away.

The official post makes sense. Are you all thinking of having a central section with multiple threads for each individual OEM or product?

We discussed that in the past, but decided just to stick with the current categories, listed by club type.  Boom Sticks for all driver launches etc.

The best I can recall,  we felt in the long run it would make it easier for newer members to find info on the current clubs, versus having to look at each manufacturer.

Will try to keep the titles as consistent as possible.    Something like

Very interesting seeing the TM and Callaway driver approaches out of the gate to start the year. Stealth is a whole "new" technology using carbon fiber in the face (yes, i know its been done before. I read the article 🤣). Then Callaway is using the Rogue from the past to build upon. Rogue was a long driver when i tried it but i had control issues. Can't wait to see what Cobra, Ping, and ?Titleist? have in store!

After reading about the Stealth and the gains in ball speed, and then looking back to last year and how SIM 2 had the fastest ball speeds for me, MAYBE the new driver that showed ball speed gains for EVERYONE is Stealth. SIM 2 was LONG, but not for me. As always, it will be fun to try and fit Stealth

Is the stickied post all of the launches we know are coming today, or are there more on the way that haven't been listed yet? I ask because Cobra and XXIO are already listed, curious if any other OEMs (**cough cough W/S cough cough**) have planned launches today.

Lots of interesting stuff coming out.   Currently going through the drivers in most wanted.  I have only hit one of the Callaway drivers so haven’t have a opportunity to formally hit many of the big OEM products yet. Hopefully soon as I have done 4 testing sessions with 4 more this week.  Nothing stands out as being really good at this point.  there are a few that just don’t work for my swing but can see benefits for specific players.

interested in testing the new Odyssey putter as they are advertised as having the benefits of a mallet but in a blade shape.  The Odyssey Eleven also looks interesting addition as it seems a little smaller than the ten.  Sorry to say that Toulon didn’t impress with its new offerings.

the chromesoft article was interesting.  Whether Callaway knew about their QC issues and the 50 million was already planned for fixing the issues or MGS found a problem and Callaway responded it was interesting to see Callaway’s assessment of how off center cores impact the ball flight.

always interesting going to MGS HQ these days as there is always new equipment showing up.

With the new drivers, I'm pretty sure the golf ball refreshes are going to get lost in the noise. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, the new XLS is a great ball. I got a white box sleeve a couple months back and as soon as these hit the shelves, it'll be my gamer.

I think balls always get lost in the shuffle as people are generally pretty brand loyal.  I am am sure it is a good ball and will work well for players. for me, I glossed over most of the article and really only found the part about the 3D X-ray and off center ball performance interesting.   I am sure it is all part of the marketing aspect of the ball to get people to question other balls concentricity issues and switch to Callaway.

I'm always super excited about new products and love trying them all out, but for the first time in a long time I am completely in love with my bag and don't want to create any doubt. I may hold off on trying the new stuff for a while because I can't see myself changing anything for a while.

This has been a pretty wild couple days for releases. It is almost too hard to keep up with it all.

I agree, I can't believe I missed the new Cobra King Tec hybrid release a few months back.  But, this is always a fun time of year, I like seeing what every company comes up with and what new idea will take the market by storm.

I love how all of the article links will be in one source!!!  This is amazing!!

That being said, I'm most curious to try Stealth because of the face.  They mentioned in one of the TXG videos that they are done making Titanium faces, so this is going to be a huge change to stay for them.

I like putters...

I like the idea of the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5k and the idea of a more stable blade (plus i like the look of this new line). The new Bettis look nice as well.

... I am sure there will be more discussion on the Callaway thread but I remain completely perplexed by the excessive amount of visual offset on their Players irons. The Apex 21 Pro irons have 1.9* of offset on their wedge but it looks like at least 3* or more. This is an iron I would have been interested in at least demoing but looking down at the scoring irons I had zero desire to even hit one. The Rogue ST Pro which again is an iron I would be interested in hitting, also has 1.9* of offset on their wedge so I am guessing it looks very similar. Contrast that with the new Mizuno 225 that has .098* of offset and you can see what Mizuno's Players irons are more desirable.

I have always felt the same way. Personally I feel like the get really narrow between the hosel and club face part, which seems to be a staple of the design but that flow always looked off and seemed to make the offset more dramatic. Again why club looks are so personal.
