Personally I don't see the back/sole of my clubs or my grips at address and I don't use a glove, so as long as it is both comfortable and gives me a secure grip on the club and it only comes in one color I really don't care if it lacks character. Used to love the old Tour Wrap full cord (RIP).  Switched to GP Zcord on all full swing clubs and havent looked back.  My hands slip much less than they so with other grips.  For putter I like anything with a chunkier top hand like the scotty pistolero/iomic i-classic mid grips.

Because i don't like wearing a glove,

only wrap-type grips made of simulated leather feel good to me.

I like the Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G, and except for the similar Winn Excel presently on my lob wedge,

that's all that goes on my non-putter clubs.

KBO,

Just curious, how much lighter is the regular with 3 extra wraps vs a Midsize if only 1 wrap?

I would think it can't be that big a weight savings.

I got the Champkey X. I do not play often enough to have to get something as durable as a Golf Pride anything. Plus for the price of 45 I regripped my whole set. I definitely love the feel of these grips as they're definitely a lot more slick and tacky then the original grips I had on my Nike irons/wedges.

I use GolfPride CP2 Wrap Midsize for irons, Hybrid. And may move every club to this for consistency. Driver/Wood/Wedges = Tour Velvet.
Putter = Scotty Cam Matador, came with putter never switched it, cause it works well enough and has that sweet Cameron Logo 😂

With my arthritic hands, I went midsized three years ago. I like GP CP2 midsized grips, but am trying the Wynn DRI-TAC 2.0 midsized grips on my driver, to see how it works/feels.

I used the Dri-Tac 2.0 in midsize before I switched to the GP CP2 Pro in midsize. The only reason I switched was durability. I liked the grip a lot but for the price they should hold up better.  I could only get 3/4 of a season out of the Dri -Tac's. The black rubber compound on the external side of the grip is very thin and the underlying white fiberglass fibers would start coming through toward the end of the season.  I am going into season 3 with the GP CP2 Pro's with no signs of wear.

I had a similar experience with the Dri-Tac grips.  They do feel amazing when they are new... But, when they start to wear it goes quickly.  Playing as frequently as I do, I just couldn't keep replacing them so back to the GP MCC +4 midsize I went.  Really wish though that they would improve the compounds in those Dri-Tac because they do feel great!

Interesting.  I have a half season on my Dri-Tac's... We will see how they hold up this season.  I had the CP2 Pro's on my previous irons... good grips, I will probably go back to those when the Winn's wear out.

I did really like the Dri-Tac but the below photo is what would happen. The white is almost like a slick cotton that just shreds once exposed. I have a set of Cobra Bio Cell as a third backup and I have to regrip all of them. I also found that if the grips sit in the bag for a season they kind of dry out or the rubber compound breaks down. Once that happens the grips will self destruct in the course of one round. This one isn't even as bad as the others.

I had been using Larkin Crossline grips for a while.  Sprinkle in a few Golf Pride MCC’s because I wanted to try out what so many pros use.  I like them, but liked the Crossline better.

During CC4 I tried the Lamkin Sonar+ and love them.  Even tried the Sonar Wrap on a club and liked that too, but any grip that needs replacing this year is getting the Sonar+.

Original MCC midsize on all clubs with a SuperStroke Claw grip on my putter. I don't actually use a claw grip to putt, but for whatever reason that flat bottom hand portion is comfortable in my hands, so that's what I'm using.

I actually enjoy the SuperStroke grips as well on my putter.  The midsized one, not that huge one.  Just feel that they give you a much better feel in the hands when putting.

I really like the Winn DriTac LT in the midsize.  I have, because I like to tinker, installed the JumboMax less tapered model in x-small on a couple of clubs this winter just to see if there's any benefit.  It's what one does here in Wisconsin to while away the winter months...

I have MCC +4 Mid on everything in green, my fav color. I didn't like the MCC line when they came out 15 years ago but these are great. Super durable so worth the cost. I have a SuperStroke Fatso 5.0 on my putter. I just wanted the biggest grip I could find.

I gamed Tour Velvet Mid for years but I found that the driver and wedges wouldn't last a full season. So I was regripping often. I've also used a few different Lambkin grips over the years and I've liked all of them.

Does anyone remember the Golf Pride Softee? I loved those

I do remember the softee grips.  When they came out I was working in a shop and had to put them on a million clubs.  Found out quick though, they were NOT very durable and people were replacing them too frequently.... So many just moved on to another grip.  But I do remember them.  Felt good to the touch and grip.

I've been using MCC+4 for a few years. I play 150-200 rds a year in all kinds of weather and I find the grips get hard and shiny after a year so I regrip annually.  Started regripping my own 5 years ago after moving and getting a high price for install locally. Tinkered by adding extra tape layers for a couple years to quiet my hands but then last year went midsize.  I think it was too much and felt it contributed to a  little ch speed loss with my driver and everything seems to now leak right, might be in my mind too, lol.  Found another driver recently with a shaft I had wanted to try and it has a regular tour velvet that seems to work well, so I was thinking to go back to regular MCC+4 throughout. I just got fitted for new irons and they used regular grips during the fitting based on my glove size.  I found a set in stock with the right shaft and they had reg size MCC from Mizuno on them.  I tried the new 4i with reg grip on the sim against my own 4i and felt it was easier to turn over as needed,  so I'm going to pick up another 1/2 dozen of the same type/size for my wedges and woods so there is consistency and give them a go this year.

Yep I have been playing Tour Wraps since they came out. And yes like you said I scrub mine at least once a week with dish soap and carry a wet towel and wipe them down and dry them every shot (think Freddie Couples). I live in Coastal SC and have never had a slippage issue with them. Now I do wear a glove and rotate out like 5 in a round in the hot humid months. I hang them on the frame of the cart top or on my bag to dry. I rotate out a glove then about every 2 shots or so. I do not wear a glove putting or wedge shots or chipping. Some of my Tour wraps have been on and off maybe 25 clubs in their life span since I use air to install and take off.

That is awesome feedback as I like tour wraps, remind me of my baseball days but figured in humid SC months would get slippery. Might be giving them a go this year.
