As an east coaster, I like the fact that for a while we get to watch golf live in prime time; which is a benefit since there really isnt much else worth watching. Also of note is that the PGA tour streaming has moved to ESPN+. . Hopefully there will be more and longer streaming opportunities. Don;t think they expect it to be great when they start off the telecast saying that it is a trial run until they reach the mainland tournaments. Stuka44 Posted January 7, 2022 Share Posted January 7, 2022 I enjoy watching this event, especially since I went from no snow last night at 11pm, to 3 inches this morning. I don't want to get off track, and I'm glad there in non-rerun golf to watch, but round one was lift, clean and place. That course is in better condition than the places I play are year round. I'm sorry but I didn't see any of the pros white pants covered with mud from ball strike splatter. Wow I would hate to see them all have seizures, or lapse into a coma given some of the couse conditions I play in! Also impressed with Cam Davis to place T-10 on first visit to Kapalua. Tough place to play if you aren't familiar with it. I was glued to the TV Sat and Sun. Three players turned in -12 rounds, and Jones at -23 Sat/Sun - astonishing! Smith sure was a cool customer with Rahm challenging him hole after hole - great match. Sometimes we can get lost in how hard the courses they play on can be set up. I am glad it's not like this every week for them but I really enjoy it this time of year.
