If they were LED's that would actually be cool. These, not so much. They just look like an afterthought...

It's the kind of thing that turns me away from many modern irons. I though I might be excessively old fashioned, but I now realize I really don't like a lot of fancy drawings and colors on my clubs.

The nut probably serves a purpose. You can tune the SW by changing the actual nut, making it easier to change out shafts or lengths and keeping a consistent SW. Plus it's in the perfect spot, right behind the sweet spot. Too bad TM doesn't shares those nuts with the public though...

 

Also, I kind of like how they look, a nice change from blades that all look the same.

It looks like Scotty Cameron smoked a little something and went into the custom shop with a beautiful blade iron and felt "inspired." Yet another club that falls into the "Oh my gawd what is that thing? Kill it, kill it with fire!" category.

+1. My obscenely overpriced Epon driving iron is the most reliable club in my bag (which it had better be.) It's hard to believe that the same clubmakers made that thing.

That is a classy iron....ruined. Actually, even if it is automatic, I am not sure I would be able to play that club.
