Golfspy_CG2 31,692
I have a friend who lives about 20 minutes from there, and we were talking about this yesterday. Last he had heard was that Mike Keiser (Bandon Dunes) had disucssions about buying and develping more coruses and possible hotel around it. He seems to be involved with the new ownership in some regard as they own one of his oher designs. He also said the current owners had stopped putting money into the course and it had become very rundownn. Sounds like they have plans to restore it to what it once was and maybe even better. 1 Quote TSi1 Aldila Ascent 40G shaft TSi2 18 FW with GD AD IZ 6 Shaft TSi1 20 and 23 degree hybrids Aldila Ascent Shafts R T300 5-P Tensei R flex shaft 1/4 long SM8 48F/54/58 D Grinds Tyne 4 ProV1X Play number
Siamese Moose 726
I'd love to see it reborn. I've done a couple of trips there, and the decline was readily apparent the second time (2019), though still worth the trip. The first trip (2011) was fabulous. 2 Quote Moose, my cat, is Siamese

I was only able to get there once, probably about 2011 as well, coincidentally. Played Pine Barrens only, but it was super cool & fun, always have been wanting to get back. The article I read sounded like they were contemplating not too substantial changes to Pine Barrens, but maybe some to the Oaks course? The joint still has the coolest practice green facility I've ever seen. Unbelievable! Quote "Where'd it go?" "Right in the Lumberyard..." Gen 2 0811 XF 10.5* Nippon N.S.
