Hitting the center of the club face with driver HELP!

Recommended Posts

I am looking for suggestions or drills to help my hit the center of the clubface when hitting my driver. I am currently finding that I hit towards the heel and slice the ball (I'm right handed FYI). I have a slight in-to-out path but sometimes leave the face open so my natural shot shape is a baby fade but I'm slicing it right now. I try and scoot away from the ball but I guess I try and overcompensate and "reach" further and still hit towards the heel. Any help is welcome! Thanks

You can try using a pool noodle from a dollar store. Set up and swing down the length of the pool noodle with the toe of the club about a 1/4" away. If you hit the pool noodle you are reaching out to far. No ball just a motion exercise at first. After you are comfortable go to a solid foam ball. You can do this in the yard or garage if you have one. Then eventually to a real ball into a net or on the range.
