Tyler86
Not looking to debate proper grip setup or swing. Occasionally, my fingers will get tender after playing a lot of consecutive rounds or practice sessions. Ive used hockey tape in the past but it leaves a nasty residue on my fingers. It also helps me with a little extra grip on wet days, not a fan of rain gloves. I’ve tried some cheap medical tape from a first aid kit and it wont stay on. Any recommendations from those of you that use finger tape? Tyler86
Couldnt find anywhere to buy speedwrap that i trusted per say, and their website is rough at best. Ordered some birdiewrap. I'm a sucker for good marketing and 1st person recommendations. We shall see how it goes. Thanks @RickyBobby_PR and everyone else. RichL85
I get some blisters on the side of my right hand ring finger if I don't cover the area. I will typically use medical tape but in a pinch I'll just throw a standard band-aid on there. It works find if I run out of tape or don't have it in my bag. Might have to check out the birdiewrap next time I need something. EMacK1961
I use regular old athletic tape, 1.5". I get it in a three roll pack. It doesn't leave a residue like the medical stuff does. It is relatively cheap as well. For use, I pull off how much I need and then tear it in half lengthwise. I then wrap my index and middle fingers. AndySP
As a rock climber, and someone who never wears a glove I can tell you that the best athletic tape is Leukotape, and it’s not really close. The adhesive is nuts, so one wrap is enough and it’s sturdy and durable. however, I now mostly use this type of cohesive tape, that only sticks to itself. It’s benefit is that it’s kind of rubbery, so it still have good grip, and also you don’t remove the hair on your fingers every time you peel it off (but you might need scissors). It’s a bit harder to get tight enough, but it also breathes well.
