Addicted2Golf
Took my first stab at doing custom paint fill. The pic isn't the greatest. I will post another round later. I also did custom paint to the grip but no pics of that yet. Matt Saternus
Paintfill looks very nice. I've never thought about painting a grip, but that's a cool idea, especially a white one. I think the color combo looks nice, though I'd expect a Sun Devil to be yellow and red. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus

mainuh
A2G - nice job on your putter. The green/white fill against the black is very nice. Did you use a stick / brush to fill it in ? rob I Can't Help It If I'm Lucky...

jamo
The green looks great, I especially like how you made the word "series" white for some added contrast. What kind of headcover do you have on it?
mainuh
You should probably include type of paint too. Good question - Take a look at my putter in the Putter Stamps Gone Wild thread. LaMont (Mannkrafted) did mine with paint that I included when I sent him my putter. He used Tamiya latex and swears to me that it is the best paint he has ever used. I have since sent him more colors and know for a fact that this paint is currently being gamed on a putter that went to the tour. Doesn't get much better than that - rob I Can't Help It If I'm Lucky...
Addicted2Golf
I used Model Master acrylic paint: 4696 - Gloss white 4852 - Green Zinc Chromate I used 5/0 and 10/0 brushes and applied four coats of paint to each area, applied one at a time. Used Model Master Dried Paint Solvent and a steel needle to remove the old paint fill and the same solvent over finished areas to remove the excess paint. Addicted2Golf
Here is a picture of the grip. I will caveat this by saying that the grip come with the putter when I bought it. I actually LOVE the idea of a white grip but I hate to cut off a perfectly fine (and expensive) grip just for aesthetics. So, I worked with that I had.. SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 14, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 14, 2010 Cut it off! Kidding (sort of) You could blow it off and save it. Regardless, the black grip and your paint looks sharp. I may need to do this with the yellow iomic on mine. The latex in the letters almost instantly peels off. Any issue with the paint sticking or rather not sticking to the grip? I've done a fair amount of messing around and carpet putting with it and so far, so good. The real test will be during the summer when my hands get sweaty. But, it only took a few minutes to paint and a half hour to dry and touch up. If I need to re-apply it at some point then its no big deal. Mine have, although they were both yellow. Maybe that matters. Matt Saternus
I've never had any problems with the colors on "Iomic" peeling out. My blue one has white lettering and it's all in tact after 3 years of gaming. I wonder what the difference is. Plenty of white paint leftover (although some of that is reserved for my irons). Plenty of white paint leftover (although some of that is reserved for my irons). When it peeled out of mine, it was like a thick latex. Maybe your fill will help it stay in place. Who knows. Iomic is where it is at for grips though. Volvo Intorqueo All the cool kids follow me on twitter: @GolfspyDave If you are not a cool kid, following me on twitter will make you cool...
