SPY VIP Tony Covey MGS Posted January 13, 2012 SPY VIP Share Posted January 13, 2012 Hey Guys...our samples for an eventual review of the new Callaway RAZR Fit driver arrived this afternoon. Needless to say I'm pretty psyched considering how much our testers loved the RAZR Hawk. Add shaft adjustability and weights to what last year was one of the best drivers on the market, and well...this has the potential to be Callaway's biggest driver release ever. The shaft is an Aldila RIP'd NV (almost certainly a made for variant). Our samples have the standard hosel (neutral, 1.5 degrees closed, 2.5 degrees open). Though they don't ship with the driver, and we don't yet know what options will be available at retail, the wrench is designed to hold additional weights. Questions...comments? SPY VIP Tony Covey MGS Posted January 13, 2012 Author SPY VIP Share Posted January 13, 2012 Best photos I have seen to date on this club. Thanks! Thanks for saying so, Zinger. I try and get all the angles and anything and everything else I think people might be interested in. One of these days we're going to get some better lighting and then things will either improve even more...or I'll run out of excuses for the crappy ones. SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted January 14, 2012 SPY VIP Share Posted January 14, 2012 This club is magical. More to come unofficially from me a little later. Fairways are very solid as well. The Hex Black balls that you also have in the picts may be the true winner this year. I like them a whole bunch. Jgolf
This club is magical. Wow! That's high praise. Probably means that I will have to spend a couple hours at GS to test it out
Matt Saternus
That does look damned good...might make a Callaway guy out of me yet...IF they offer the tips at retail! I really like that the wrench stores the weights, that's a small thing, but very smart. Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
Tha Living Legend
I like how they positioned the weights closer to the face when compared to other adjustable drivers.
jonyim
I want to buy this driver but my only question is what are the shaft options for this driver? Any of them you can get the "aftermarket" version as standard? Cannot wait to demo this driver.
skihippy
I like the look of this driver and I am glad to see they went with more of a Titleist hosel!!! jonyim
Do any of the aftermarket Fubuki shafts come as stock options for the RAZR Fit driver? Will be very interesting if they do come out as "no-upcharge' shafts.
jonyim
I can't wait to demo this driver out. Expecting good things from this driver. From a lot of comments this thing is a beast off the tee, what about workability and playability?

RoverRick
I have one of these with a Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7 Stiff shaft that is supposed to ship on Wednesday. I am fired up about it , thank you T and MyGolfSpy. They have a lot of shaft up grades availible through Callaway. including all the Fubukis except the Fubuki K. They do not have as many choices as Titleist but they have a lot. I will be out with it at the course 5 minutes after it arrives here.
