Thank you Phil, I did think that they were DTC, but you never know with interest and changes on the Market, I can see retailers getting interested on carrying Sqairz.

Also, there are a couple of nice "features" offered directly. The Sta-put laces are really, really nice and a cut well above any shoe laces you find on other golf shoes. You can get those separately if you want. Also, they have a "spikes for life" program which offers a complete set of replacement spikes for just the shipping and handling charge of $6.99, which would be about half what you would pay retail elsewhere. You may also want to check out their socks; well made and really nice if you don't mind that extra "height" in the heel area.

Finally, here is the link to an article that is no longer on their website detailing how to clean golf shoes of any material, not just theirs:

They are 100% waterproof all the way to the top eyelet because we have a gusseted tongue (tongue is sewn on both sides to prevent water and debris from entering the shoes).  Because of the square toe, toes sit naturally and provides more comfort.  In addition to Faldo, Jim McLean, Rick Smith, Nick Bradley, Sepp Straka, and John Daly all wear and endorse the shoe.  We do offer a 30 day money back program.

Bob, thank you for your explanation. I am a disabled vet that has had 4 back surgeries and a hip surgery. I'm stubborn and keep  playing. Balance is my biggest  problem, I have 3 pair of TrueLinks, because they are a little wider in the toe and help me a little. I think I and going to give your shoes a try and see if can help me with my improve my balance.

Bob, other shoe companies make same claim of being 100% waterproof but learned how some shoes just don't hold up, such as Nike & Sketchers and quickly don't hold up. I will not purchase either brand any longer. I play at least 240 rounds yr & walk 90% of time. Now struggling to find a shoe that 1) is comfortable and 2) lasts. I do alternate between shoes, so not to wear out too fast. Having said that, had a pair of Sketchers which lasted just 3 months before falling apart. Customer service as longer to resolve!
What is the waterproof warranty for Squairz & how is customer service if indeed the shoe fails? Don't mean to put you on the spot.  Read through the threads & like the comments concerning the comfort of the shoe.  The heaviness of the shoe with walking, is it an issue? Straka was fine with it.

I've played golf for over 40 years. Caddied for 10 years at an old US Open course north of Boston. I still walk when I play (300 rounds in last 2 years), so comfort is important. Until a few years ago, I was a brand loyalist to Footjoy. The FJ SL Pro was the most disappointing shoe purchase of my life. I gutted out maybe 10 rounds, having to remove the shoes at times to give my feet a break. That led me to try ECCOs. Have 4 pairs currently. Love the ECCOs.

Was curious more than skeptical on the Sqairz. NH based company (not too far from where I grew up), interesting claims, different looking shoe.

I now have a Grey/Blue pair of 20/20s. Love them. Totally waterproof. Very comfortable. Great traction. At almost 63, I don't find them to be to heavy. I've only played a few rounds with them, but these Sqairz seem extremely well built (like old school golf shoes), clean up easily, and my guess is they will last a long time with proper care.

Will likely buy another pair later this year or next to replace one of the ECCO pairs - assuming the 20/20s hold up as well as I expect them to.

I too appreciate @BobWtaking the time to jump on this forum.

Curious why you feel that way if you've never tried the shoes?  Would you be open to looking at several independent studies to investigate the science then try a pair at no cost?

I have to admit, that's a pretty solid offer from a manufacturer.  Like several have said, there's some solid information behind your shoes, but the Faldo commercial and his comments on added length just seem to defy credibility.  Kind of like driver adds -- it all depends on where you're starting point is.

But the shoes are good looking and there are certainly some things advertised that I do think are beneficial.

Best of luck with your business.

I’ve simply enjoyed the discussion. I haven’t seen many people ripping apart either side, which is much appreciated. I, too, feel that they appear a bit heavy and clunky, but, so is my head, and I still found someone to marry me.

I had to replace the FootJoy Pro SL's I had for years and thought I'd give the Sqairz a try.  I only have one round with them we'll see how they work for me after a few rounds.  Here's my first impressions:  a bit heavy but the larger toe box makes for a comfortable walk.  I'm finding going back to spikes takes a bit of getting used to.  Are they more stable than the SL's, a bit.  Added distance....no.

If you don't think shoes can make a difference, try playing in leather-soled dress shoes!

If Footjoy were to come out and make the claim that the right golf shoe could add 9 yards to your drives, would anybody question it? Well, they did! Footjoy did a study back in 2016 with BodiTrak, the same BodiTrak and Terry Hashimoto that Sqairz used for testing and said the right golf shoe could add 9 yards to your drive! They concluded that "a third of all golfers need a rigid shoe for maximum ground reaction." Sqairz delivers!

In regard to Sqairz being waterproof, my group is 1st off the tee weekdays and, in addition to running into dew or playing after it rained overnight, the course always waters early in the morning. Thus, I've played in some pretty wet and sloppy conditions and never had any moisture get into the shoe whatsoever.  Here is a video Bob did that might help:

I remember how FJ said they golfers “fit” into one of three types of shoes, and they were separated by the amount of support/rigidity. Adidas also made the pair of shoes that had the left and right shoes made completely different from each other based on ground forces, rotation of the foot during the golf swing. No one has ever really gone “mainstream” with all of this until now.

I had a pair of those Adidas shoes I picked up on a deal. Worse golf shoes I've ever worn! Sizing was way off, they were uncomfortable, and I saw no improvement in my performance, unlike what I've seen with Sqairz.

I thought the sqaure toes were for alignment.  I went to the website and see that they are for comfort purposes.   I think they might help me with alignment.  I have terrible time with aligning my feet parallel to the target.   I'm always set up open.

@cnosilI use alignment stick when I practice, but, that doesn't help me check my alignment on the course nor has it helped me with alignment on the course.  Any suggestions?

Alignment stick and getting used to the visual is key.   when I standing behind the ball to determine target line,  pick a spot on the ground and then set yourself up based on  the line you visual draw from the ball to that spot.  If you want to setup more closed, s step in with you left foot first and then set your stance with the right.

Already doing that in terms of picking a spot etc.  It's with my right foot, that I'm always unsure.  When the feet are aligned target parallel (verified with another. person standing behind me), My right foot feels too far back, even though it's not.  BTW, Club face is always square to the imagined target line extending through the spot I picked in front of the ball about 1-2 feet depending on what's available. (usually, a different shade of blade of grass).    I don't have this issue with alignment sticks or using a mat since I have a much better visual queue (e.g. edge of the mat). I think I need constant feedback from another person to get use to the what target parallel feet actually feel like.

I've seen all the ads for Sqairz and have pretty much ignored them.  After seeing all the comments above I am now curious.   I walk most rounds and have had recent problems with flat feet and a disappearing arch.  I've had to go a size larger and from a "medium" to a "wide" in my Footjoys.   I saw a reference to a "wide toe" which is one thing I've had to look for (and found in ECCO shoes).   So, my questions:   Are Sqairz accurately sized?  Do they run small or large?  How heavy are they?   Has anyone out there (other than Straka) actually walked 18 holes and how did they feel?

Hey Jim!  LTNS bud!!  I also ignored them until recently.  Finding wider shoes has always been a limiting factor on choices.  I wore True for. awhile and liked them, but they changed their design.  Anyway, I just decided to order a pair of Squairz and they should arrive tomorrow (Wed).  I'll let you know.  I talked with a guy at the club the other day and he remarked that the older models were heavier than the new models (New being the "Speed").  From what I've heard, they run true to size.  I'll find out shortly as I did order my regular size rather than going up a 1/2 size like I normally do with FJ shoes.

Jim

I think I'm a true size 10. Sometimes I need 10.5s. My Ecco shoes are all 43. My Sqairz are 10s. When I first put them on, I thought they might be a tad small. After walking a couple of rounds, I think they fit perfect. My feet (and legs) are happy.

As to the weight, I think they "look" heavy, but when compared to my high end Eccos, they seem about the same. I can tell you they don't feel heavy walking 18 holes.

I'm pretty sure the average golfer will not see distance improvement, but the grip is real. Check out the soles.

They are perhaps the best waterproof shoe I've worn. Love the non slip laces as well.

Downside - goose s*** will need to be rinsed from the soles after every use. Not sure air guns will do the trick!

In my case, not so much the goose s***, but just mud collecting from playing early mornings when the course has just been watered. If I had to find one negative about Sqairz it is this. However, surprisingly, even as the dirt/mud collects they don't seem to lose traction.

I'm always surprised by people who comment on products that they haven't tried.   I was a foot joy golf shoe owner for years.  I tried Sqairz when they first came out because my feet hurt after walking 18.  Since purchasing Sqairz  shoes, I no longer have any foot pain after golf, nor do I have to tie my shoes once or twice during the round.  The silicon squares on the laces are ingenious!!  I can't believe no one has done this before.  Regarding the look, I get that some may not like a more square toe, but I can't tell you how many golfers have commented on how good they look.  Lastly, I can say 100% that I get on average 7 more yards on my irons and 10-15 more on my drives.  This additional length came after I began wearing Sqairz.  Is this a coincidence, maybe.  In closing, I never have wet feet after a round wearing Sqairz and I've played in wet conditions many times.  I wouldn't buy any other shoe!  Thanks Sqairz!

I am not doubting you at all. I'm just curious as to how you arrived at those numbers. I base the increase in driver distance I see based on data I have collected using shot tracking tools (Shot Scope now, Game Golf previously).

Hey Jim!

Hey Carl!  Thanks for the shout my friend!   I'll look for your review of the new shoes and I just may try some.   I am apprehensive about not being able to try a pair just for fit before buying....hate the whole "return thing".   And that goose s*** comment....we don't have any goose s*** at my course.....🤣🤣  Looks pretty cold back there right now.

Well....got the shoes today and I'll be returning them, eating the return shipping.  Although the length and toe area felt great, the tongue and upper area dug into the top of my foot.  And with shoes, if you don't love 'em when you first put them on, chances are you're going to not like them after you wear them and can't return them.  Too bad, as I was looking forward to giving them a solid go.

Weather is up and down here .... 70's one day and 40's the next day.  Might even get a touch of snow this weekend, but it likely won't be cold enough to do anything.  You still in Medford or did you winter south?

Curious why you feel that way if you've never tried the shoes?  Would you be open to looking at several independent studies to investigate the science then try a pair at no cost?

I am very glad that Straka won, but those are some ugly shoes!😬

I was given a pair of SQAIRZ golf shoes for Xmas, by one of my grateful students.  I must admit, from the first round I ever played in them, they have made my closet full of expensive golf shoes, basically obsolete.  TO BEGIN WITH, THEY ARE SIMPLY MORE COMFORTABLE, AND I AM LESS FATIGUED AFTER WEARING THEM DURING A ROUND OF GOLF.  THEY ARE DEFINITELY MORE STABLE, WHICH I EXPERIENCED IMMEDIATELY.  AND ODDLY ENOUGH THEY KEEP ME SUPER QUIET WHILE PUTTING, SO I NOTICED AN IMPROVEMENT IN THAT PART OF MY GAME, ALSO.  THE SQUARZ TOE DESIGN HAS ME FINISHING MY TURN SO COMPLETELY, THAT I END UP ON THE SQUARE TOE DESIGN, IN A PERFECTLY BALANCED FINSIH, EVRY SHOT.  My only problem with the shoes, is that I have only one pair in black.  NOW, I must re-coordinate all of my golf outfits, to accommodate wearing black shoes ... lol   Now  I am bound to have to get a white pair of SQAIRZ, so I can wear the remainder of golf outfits in my closet ... lol  In all of my 60 years of playing and teaching golf, I have never attributed the slightest improvement coming  from my golf shoes.  Now I can!  Try a pair of SQAIRZ, and you will see what I am raving about.

The Squairz design interest me. With my sports-mangled piggies, I prefer a wider toe box. I can also see where they would improve footing and balance. They are definitely on my future radar to try.

Carl,  sorry you had that experience with the shoes.  It's VERY unusual to have this happen.  May i ask what model/color you purchased? If one has a high arch or flat foot the tongue/collar can sit differently however it should never "dig".  Unfortunately, there are manufacturing anomalies and sewing mistakes that could also create this type of issue.  I'd like to try and fix this for you and ask that you reach out to me.

Also, yes, you can return them after you've worn them within 30 days of your purchase.  Sorry for the inconvenience!!

I mean for all we know there could be a testing opportunity this year, which although it means 0 dollars out of pocket, it also means that you will have to test the shoe and write an honest review of their performance, that takes time and commitment.

@BobW are Sqairz carried by any retailers or they are exclusive from your website?

Exclusively on the website.  We have a 30 day money back guarantee.

I'd like to first thank you for your service!  We support several charities that benefit our veterans (Heart of a Lion) and programs such as Adaptive Golf.  Several of the players are amputees who need the balance and stability.   I am not shy about saying that SQAIRZ is the most stable shoe in golf.  We have tested hundreds of golfers using BodiTrak pressure mapping and published the results on our website.  In fact, Terry Hashimoto, co-founder of BodiTrak did all the testing and SQAIRZ came out on top!  If you decide to purchase SQAIRZ, please call our customer service line 888-793-7779 as we offer a military/veteran discount.  Thank you.
