The 4th Annual PNW Spy golf-a-thon.

Hey Spies. You are all invited to join myself, @Kenny Band @fixyurdivot this June 23rd - 26th as we continue our annual golf trip. This year we will be letting Kenny host, and will be traveling to the TriCities of Washington. The final itinerary is in progress, but we will be taking on Kenny's home course of Columbia Point for sure. Also in the mix are Wine Valley, Apple Tree, Wild Horse, as well as few others we are looking at.

Born and raised in Yakima WA.  I grew up a block away from Suntides GC. I may have to plan a trip to visit family in June!!   A lot of really good courses around the Yakima/Tri-Cities area!

I would love to make it this year.  As of today, there is only one conflict on my calendar for the 23rd.  Could potentially be rearranged.  It just might happen...

Apple Tree is the site of my only HIO..  It's been a minute since I played in "The Palm Springs of Washington".

LOL!  I always enjoy seeing that sign when I drive by on my way to/from Seattle.

Two years ago when we were in Palm Springs, we were driving around (probably lost) looking for a course when we saw a sign that read:  "Welcome to Palm Springs  The Yakima of California."  Wished we had taken a picture of it, because when we were there in January this year, we couldn't find it.

Sounds like you can get a 2 for 1 on your travel!! make it happen, I will provide you 7 free golf tees. Most likely wood so they will float.

I hope to see you all there, maybe a few of those pesky Portland area Spies will come out for a few days. I've never played Apple Tree, but it looks great. Wine Valley also looks beautiful.

 

As an aside, this is a Ladies friendly group too. Kenny's wife as well as mine will also be in attendance, the more the merrier.

Unlike @Yellow Ball, I actually travel a pretty healthy distance to attend these great meet-up's. Kenny and Martha are going to have to pull the proverbial "rabbit out of the hat" to top the beer and chow we had at O'Doherty's Irish Pub from last years meet-up.  I'm sure hoping more of you can find time to make this years event.

Nah!  I knew this day was coming; just a matter of when.  I'm almost 75, she just turned 66, so with each passing year I expect her to beat me more often.  She's been playing golf since 1963, and this last year she really focused on her putting.  Her scores dropped significantly!

did you get her a real putter or is she still using the garage sale special that more closely resembles a special effects prop then a putter?
