Next month. If PXG sticks to their normal pricing structure these are going to be significantly mode expensive than the srixons. The gen4 will probably drop some in price

Thanks.  My #'s with Gen 4 were so good I hate to say against Srixon (and all others) that I think I'll stick with them for now and let Gen 5 run its course and hopefully come down in price when time is right.   With gas being $6 gallon now I don't need the extra expense.   Thank you!

Staying with Gen 4 for now, let the dust settle with this release.  Not spending that kind of money PXG will list them at first.   I like the look though and curious about the tech going into them.  More in the details to follow I'm sure coming.

Gen 5 doesn't look to be vastly different...and to be honest, not sure there's a vast difference between Gen 1 for that matter!  They are all beautiful irons!

There are vast differences between PXG club releases. The difference between Gen 3 and Gen 4 was nothing short of profound. Gen 4 we’re simply better in every way. Rumor has it that the difference beteeen Gen 4 and 5 is at least as big as between Gen 4 and 5.

Too many typos from my phone. Last sentence was to say Gen 4 to 5 is supposed to be as great of a leap as 3 to 4 was.

Hit the Gen Five 311Ps today.The major difference between the 4 and 5s is the placement of tungsten weights on the toe and heel of the iron the effect of which is to increase the peripheral weight and lower the center of gravity on the club. They are absolutely beautiful and perhaps a tad more forgiving than the 4s.

I was able to hit the new Gen 5 at the PXG store in Mesa AZ. The look and feel are phenomenal, very solid club. They are going to be expensive for the first year or so - 5K for a full set.... so I am told by one of their fitters...

Good gracious! There is zero chance that buying a set for $5k would be better for one’s game than a set for $1,500. Crazy. Again, if one has the money and wants the golf relative “Gucci bag”, do it!!!

As always the 0311 line is their premium line and their prices for new releases are the typical high end price associated with PXG. $5k is for a full bag of clubs including the bag.

All good. Full set of irons for new release will vary depending on number of irons and if stock shaft and grips. Full set of 8 irons with stock setup will probably be  $3k if they hold to the $375/iron price the gen4 were released at.

The full bag option saves some money over buying it separately over the course of the year or two years

Yeah, the last couple years they have been offering full bag setup/pricing that is "discounted" from buying them piece by piece.  Still pretty pricey for the new releases, but the Gen3 is a great deal on a full bag now, and Gen 4 probablyh is as well, but I haven't looked it up recently.
