ShaunieBoy652 38
I'm blessed 2 have a Skytrak and hitting bay at home -a dream I'd had for several years that came true n 2021. One thing I've realized is my distances with irons is shorter n the bay vs the course by about 5 yards. Been researching this online and every thing I've read says the opposite should be true. Curious if anyone else has the same experience and any guidance u have. Based on the research I've done, I know a lot depends on the mat ur hitting off. I'm using a FrankTec mat with 15mm grass and 15mm cushion. Under that I have foam interlocking matting you'd put on a concrete floor (I'd read of the impact 2 wrist hitting off mats on concrete and wanted 2 eliminate the danger) Quote Taylormade SIM2 Driver and 3 wood, PING 410 Hybrids (3, 4 &5) Taylormade 790 irons (7-PW), Vokey SM8 48, 52, 56, and 60 wedges and Nice to Pipe Putter Link to comment

I’d say that if you are within 5 yards you are doing pretty well. Could simply be that you don’t swing as well in your simulator space. GolfGuy5 2
From my experience, I also get more yardage out on the course. Usually about 5-10 yard difference. pakman92 470
You can do a control experiment to see if it's just being indoors or if it's the turf interaction with the mat by comparing tee'd up distances. Could be other things as well I know personally I'm going to hit further off turf, because I tend to hold back when hitting off mats due to past elbow issues. The indoor aspect could definitely play in also, even if subconsciously there's a bit of a hold back due to being in an enclosed space. 1 Quote In my carry bag: Mavrik Max 10.5* R Flex Evenflow RipTide Hy-Wood Launcher 5h D200 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* #10 e12 Contact Link to comment

Hook DeLoft 749
Have you used the Sky Track on the course to verify the distances? Perhaps you aren't actually hitting it shorter when inside. 1 1 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G425 Max Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0311P Gen. 3 6-GW PXG 0211 5-GW PXG 0211 sand wedge bent to 53 degrees Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser Link to comment
