mynerds
I recently bought a push cart and shoes (thumbs up for adidas Men's CODECHAOS 21) during the winter and broke them both out at a municipal course for the first time last week. I've previously been a walker and an athletic shoe wearer, so I was not accustomed to the massive amount of goose poop that ended up stuck to my shoes and on the wheels of the cart. I knocked what I could off but I ended up with a non trivial amount of...stuff... in the trunk of my car. Are there any tips or products you can recommend for post-round cleanups of cart wheels and spikeless shoes? My car and my wife would greatly appreciate it. sirchunksalot 1 Quote Driver: LTDx Max 10.5°, MCG C6 Red 50 R Wood: LTDx Max 3W 15.5°, MCG C6 Red 50 R Hybrid: TS2 4H 23°; 5H 25°, Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black 60 Graphite Regular Irons: LTD (5-9); Vista PRO 60i R Wedges: Milled Grind 3 - 54.11 (56°), Milled Grind 3 - 60.10; Vista PRO 60i R Putter: White Hot Pro 1 / 2-Ball Ten Armlock Bag: Supreme Cart Bag 2022 Balls: Tour Reviews: Spornia SPG8 XL Net (Official), Me and My Golf Full Body Freedom (Unofficial), Club Champion Full Bag Fitting (Unofficial), Gravity Caddy (Unofficial) Link to comment

I just use the pressure washer the guys use to clean the carts. sirchunksalot, mynerds, tony@CIC and 3 others 6 Quote Driver: TSI3 - 10*, Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 Stiff Driver: Stealth Plus - 10.5*, Oban Kiyoshi Purple O4Flex-65 Grams Purred 3 Wood: SIM - 15*, Graphite Design Tour AD DJ5 Stiff Hybrid: TS3 - 19*, Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 Stiff Irons: 5 - PW T150, with Nippon Zelos 7 Reg, 4 iron - U505 with Project X HZRDUS Black Stiff Wedges: Vokey SM 8 - 50*, 60* Standard Wedge Shafts Wedge: Milled Grind 3 MG3 56* S200 shaft Putter: Studio Select Newport 1.5 Putter: Phantom X 5.5 Ball: Pro V1x Link to comment

On sloppy days I use the cart pressure washer too, often without the pump turned on. If that wasn’t available, I’d find a water hose or air hose somewhere. If all else fails, I have a stiff brush and a small towel in my trunk that I’ve always used to clean off my shoes - surely you had to clean your shoes sometimes after walking? Bashing the shoes together knocks off a lot too. bellken, GaDawg, RollingGreens and 3 others 6 Quote Titleist TSR2 11° HZRDUS Red CB 50 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Titleist TSR2 16.5º HZRDUS Red 60 CB 6.0 & TSR2 21º HZRDUS Black 4G 70 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Mizuno JPX923 HMP 4-GW, T22 54.12WS, T22 58.04DC w Lamkin ST+2 Hybrid Midsize Evnroll EV5.3 Maxfli Tour & ProV1 Ping Pioneer - MGI Zip Navigator AT Payntr X 002 LE, Ecco Biom C4, Payntr X 001 F (Mesh) Link to comment
RollingGreens
Typically the wheels aren’t too bad but I know if I steer the cart in the parking lot it cleans up quickly. Shoes in the other hand get a few good whacks to get rid off the messy stuff on the bottom mynerds, Kansas King, tony@CIC and 2 others 5 Quote Stealth 2 Plus 9deg Kai' li Red Stealth 2 13deg Aldilla Rogue Silver Stealth 2 15deg Aldilla Rogue Silver JPX 921 Hot Metal 4-PW Nippon Modus 120s SM8 54 and 58deg Dynamic Gold Wedge Flex Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Titleist ProV1 Hoofer Stand Bag Stewart Q Follow Electric Caddie 300 PRO Rangefinder Official Nippon Regio B+ Driver Shaft Review Official Stewart Q Follow Review Link to comment
Kansas King
Goose droppings were a challenge at my old course. The ideal solution would be if there was a relatively easy way to hose off after the round but that isn't always the case. In the past, I generally knock the chucks off the push cart with my foot then take the shoes off and whack them together until the loose stuff falls off. The other option is to embrace the dirtiness and get a cargo tray from your vehicle that is easy to remove and wash. mynerds, tony@CIC, brutal brutus and 1 other 4 Quote Link to comment
Tom the Golf Nut
I posted this somewhere else around here. When I lived on Long Island there was a course down the street called Bergen Point. It was covered In goose droppings. We used womens disposable shower caps on the wheels of our push / pull carts. It became so popular everyone was doing it. Once you get to the parking lot take them off and toss them away. That solves the wheel issues at least. For my golf shoes I kept a plastic tote in my trunk. Shoes went in there until I got home. Either wait for them to dry and clap. You have the option to hose them off while it's still fresh but just remember to keep your mouth shut. brutal brutus, tony@CIC, sirchunksalot and 6 others 5 4 Quote Driver, TSi 1 S Flex 3 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 7 Wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 Hybrid King Tec MMT R Flex Irons, Tour UST Recoil 95 R Flex (6 - Gap) Wedges, Snakebite KBS Hi- Rev2.0 54* & 60* Agera 35" Ultralight 14-way Cart Bag Link to comment
mynerds
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. I'll keep an eye out for water/air hoses but I'll probably end up getting a trunk liner and a hand held scrub brush from Home Depot. tony@CIC and Kansas King 2 Quote Driver: LTDx Max 10.5°, MCG C6 Red 50 R Wood: LTDx Max 3W 15.5°, MCG C6 Red 50 R Hybrid: TS2 4H 23°; 5H 25°, Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black 60 Graphite Regular Irons: LTD (5-9); Vista PRO 60i R Wedges: Milled Grind 3 - 54.11 (56°), Milled Grind 3 - 60.10; Vista PRO 60i R Putter: White Hot Pro 1 / 2-Ball Ten Armlock Bag: Supreme Cart Bag 2022 Balls: Tour Reviews: Spornia SPG8 XL Net (Official), Me and My Golf Full Body Freedom (Unofficial), Club Champion Full Bag Fitting (Unofficial), Gravity Caddy (Unofficial) Link to comment
TR1PTIK
Simple. Lay out an old towel or blanket in the back of the car for your shoes and cart. You can clean them both thoroughly at home by whatever means you desire. mynerds and tony@CIC 2 Quote Driver: ST190 9.5* Fujikura Atmos Blue 5S Fairway Wood: ST190 15* Fujikura Atmos Blue 6S Hybrid: CLK 17* Fujikura Speeder EVO HB Irons: J40 CB (3-PW) Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Wedges: Milled Grind 2 54* & 58* Dynamic Gold S200 Putter: Tri-Hot 5k Two 34" Bag: Players 5 Stand Bag Ball: Maxfli Tour Link to comment

I have an old beach towel that I put everything on in my truck to keep things clean. MNUte
An old shoe box works great for your shoes (shocking, I know ). As for the cart, the old blankets or towels that have been mentioned are the simplest solution. TR1PTIK and mynerds 2 Quote Rag tag bag, but it does the job. Taylormade R1 driver. Ping G400 3 wood. bellken
Air compressor if available. A spin of the wheels and a golf tee gets a fair amount of stuff off. My Clicgear 3.5+ gets put into a Ikea Fratka (large) bag to help contain the mess. MattF and mynerds 2 Quote Link to comment

I can get most of the goose poop off the cart wheels before I get to the car, but if it's particularly bad I use the hose in cart return. As for shoes a stiff nylon bristle brush works OK with maybe a little help from a spray bottle of water when the flocks of little geese show up... probably in the next month or so.
