wely324
My guess, Another Rahm, Morikawa current top player who is on a hot streak, but not even close yet to being on the way of being an all time great. It’s so easy to say wow this guy is going to win a ton, and he has in the last few months alone, but I don’t see him as a Phil, or Ernie etc. these guys are so young and have so much to prove and they are all close to that next level but the current sample size for Scottie is too small to say how good he’ll be in terms of his career. I am sure players like Rory, Rahm, Thomas, Koepka, not to mention Norman, Fowler, Els, Irwin, J Miller, Kite, Trevino, Rose, etc. are mystified when someone like Scheffler seemingly comes out of nowhere (before Feb 2022) to win the most coveted major in golf. Same thing we thought after Willet, Schwartzel, Immelman, Scott, Mize and Weir won The Masters. It's probably that much harder to win majors when it's expected, especially after a couple/many near misses - unless you're Tiger, Jack, Arnie, etc... There's no way I'd try to guess who will have THE hot hand a year from now. C Smith? Hovland? Morikawa? Cantlay? Niemann? among dozens of others.
