Hello all, 

As we get closer to the US Open I have made up another Major themed theme.... that wording is awful... anyway here is a preview and will be live when you read this. If there are any smaller bugs or colors missing please let me know and I'll do what I can to resolve them quickly. 

A side note for anyone in the beta testing group we are going to open up all Major themes to you to use. The Open theme is essentially done (thank you @Shankster for your assistance there) and with that we have a theme for all 4 majors. 

*** A known bug is the background going missing, if this happens please send me a PM and I can resolve it quickly ***

Small Update - The Open Theme is now live and available to all. @Shankster once again thanks for the hand with this one. 
- MGS Alternate Dark has been added as a companion to the Alt Light Theme, this has become my staple go to theme over the last while. 

Other Major Themes have been removed, except for beta users. If you wish to use any of the other major themese simply request the Beta Tag and we can get that for you. 

Finally unless I get bored and decide to do a FedEx Cup theme or Presidents Cup Theme that will be all until the Masters next year. Of course let me know of any bugs and I'll do what I can to adapt them. 

Enjoy for anyone who has been using them and hope the default one doesn't get too boring

Perhaps you could add “How to change themes (appearance of site)” to the FAQs. Themes as a tiny inconspicuous item at the bottom is hard to find and not intuitive. I’ve changed to the grey background, perhaps a description or screenshot of each theme could be in the FAQ post

I'll look into it. Could be a rainy sunday project... lets see how boring F1 is this afternoon.

Due to the latest forum update several theme colors/functions are broken. Over the next little while I'll work to get them back to as they were and with the appropriate colors. Apologies for this and hopefully future updates won't have these issues/consequences.

Themes - MGS 2022, Alt Light, Alt Dark have been updated and are running as intended. Please screenshot and send me any issues if you find any. I will also be tweaking a few of the colors of MGS 2022 with the text as it is a bit on the light side and a bit more contrast would be nice for everyones reading and easier on the eyes. 

Apologies for the down time with them and we hopefully have a plan in place to ensure any issues like this do not happen again.

All of the themes function as they should, and all look great.

Just one may be more beneficial for a user than another due to their eyesight, and brightness of the room and screen they may be using.

Great job, and more times than not, those involved with website design and maintenance or IT work don't get enough recognition for their efforts.

Will be pairing down some of the themes and discontinuing a few/updating the main blog theme. Some more features will still be added, but please don't be surprised if you see some go away for a period of time. 

The staple themes will still be available with those being
Default MGS Theme
Night Mode (traditional dark mode which has been around forever)
MGS Blog (new default theme)

And for those who really want extra theme access please let me know as none will actually be deleted, but instead removed from normal access (much like the Major Themes).

Until we are able to get some further permissions the MGS 2022 Theme is going to be offline as it needs an update and is won"t be compatible with the next update that is coming. Users of this Theme will automatically moved to the Blog Theme. Sorry for the inconvenience, however I will have an update soon as well as another 2 new features coming to the forum in the coming week!

Been a little while since I have done anything on this as the feedback has been great on the existing setup. However my eyes often get sore from the lighter themes and although some of our Focus Group members have used or are using a test theme I havent really fallen in love with it. 

But that is about to change and I have nearly completed a theme which I really like and will be launching by end of the week. I have just a few final tweaks. 

To give a sneak peak here are some screenshots!

Dark Theme has been completed. 

Go to the bottom of your screen. Select Theme and it will be labelled as Into Darkness: MGS Blog Theme

Although I have gone through it and have not noticed any bugs or anything off if there is anything you find please let me know!

We are still a little ways out from The Masters, but we are bringing back on of the most beloved themes from last year. 

There have been many updates and changes to various themes since this thread was originally created. So to do a quick recap we have 4 Standard options for you. To get further details on them simply click Here for all the details in the FAQ!

The 4 options
- MGS Blog Theme: Meant to look close in appearance to the main site.
- DarK Version: MGS Blog - Same as above, just in dark theme for those who prefer that.
- MGS Original Light - This was the standard original theme which is white a black. 
- Night Mode - Original default dark theme with more blue ish tones

A new Default has been set for the Forum! 

With the update to the new main site we have created the MGS Blog 2.0 Theme to fit more in line with it!

A new look for a new era of the MGS Forum. 

However do not worry your old favourites and some others you probably didn't know about are still available. 

In any Theme, scroll to the bottom of the page, select theme and a drop down (drop up?) will appear and give you 7 different options for your own viewing pleasure. 

The 2.0 Theme has a brand new mobile menu bar for easier navigation, more responsive feel and app like features which we have all been craving. 

Colors, functionality are all the same, however for those on mobile this will be a welcome update as there are more features and areas available right at your finger tips!

The look and feel is nice and the UX is well done. One of the best looking forums out there.
