SunsetBeachCustomPutters
Well the major portion of the head is through solidworks and CNC. There is about 1-2 hours of hand shaping grinding on each head, for standard production putters. The "tongue" and hosel on this one are all completely handmade. The black finish is part of our polymer line-up which we use to keep the feel of carbon but give the maintenance of stainless steel. I will see if we have any other pics, it is already in the mail. Lagolf31
Looks good Chris. I am not a fan of the "tongue" (can't believe I just said that) but that is why there are so many styles. You guys cover them all in a nice unique fashion and I have seen some real beautiful putters come out of your shop. Keep it going!!
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 12, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 12, 2010 Are those screw holes in the bottom for the tongue. Can it be changed like Machine? NGage
Looks pretty good. I like the way the neck comes in, and it's positioning. But what's the deal with the surfboard portion? Is it an alignment aide only? A weight thing? Or what? I'd like to hear some design cues/ideas you had.
Matt Saternus
I'm not usually one for lots of alignment aids, tongues, etc, but I think this looks really good. I like the one long line and two shorter lines with the two color paintfill. Something about that makes it all look better, IMO, of course. NGage
That's not a tongue.....that's a surfboard, lol. Hey, it fits with the name/logo of the company. I'd be stunned if that wasn't what they had in mind.

I'd be stunned if that wasn't what they had in mind. Thanks guys. We are looking into a contest. It is sort of the surfboard thing. As far as design cues we had the three putters Carl currently has and has rotated through. Basing one of our heads off of that with the added weight for the large alignment and the lines for an intermediate alignment and came up with something Carl loved. I like the looks of it, and I think I already mentioned I love the positioning of the hosel/neck. And I like that the black is supposed to be care free. But now my next question: Who's Carl? You'll have to forgive me, I'm new here.

Can it involve a Lola 2? That has rocketed to the very top of my drool list. Has Carl decided to put this in play or is he just going to be testing it at first? I hope it's the former, I'd love to see it on TV soon! Quote Follow me on Twitter: @MattSaternus
