Hybrid Shafts

Recommended Posts

There’s no such thing as regular flex swing speed. Flex has no standard in the industry and ines regular flex could be another brands stiff or another brands ladies.

What you need is a shaft that has good weight and feels good to you and provides the ball flight you want. Typically a hybrid shaft is heavier than fairway woods and lighter than the irons shafts one plus. Whether that’s 70, 80g or some other weight is player dependent.

The other think to look at is the tip size of the hybrids.  They are different sizes which will push you toward iron, wood, or hybrid shafts or you would have to shim or potentially reduce the shafts tip size.

Can't tell you which you should go with as it also is partially personal preference; for example weight will have an influence on trajectory/launch.

Gotcha ,  they are the old Adams super LS models and although they are older since they were inherited I want to give’em a whirl.  The 17 has currently has the kuroKage 80hy in stiff and the 19 & 22 have rhe kuroKage 80hy in regular… might just regrip since they are worn out and see what happens.

If you decide to swap them out they are .370 tip size:  https://www.golfworks.com/images/art/Adams.pdf

Giving them a go is what I would do as well!
