Below is a good classic rock station that I do listen also. Look for this album cover though. Isn't it about time to refresh the paint on your Get Off My Lawn sign? I have come full circle on this issue. Like everything else in life, your personal enjoyment should not infringe on others that may not share your preferences. I usually play with others in carts and 5 days week at that so a little music keeps me company while they zip around the course. I have a JBL Clip that is quite directional and if you are standing on the other side of my bag you probably won't be able to hear the music from 6 feet away and 10 feet away there is no way. Music keeps me company as I walk and I can't hear it while on the tee or the green. That said, quite often my pards will ask me to turn it up and I will do so to a level only our group can hear. I am aware there are others on an adjacent tee/fairway/green that may not like Classic Rock or music at all. ... Play music if you like, but just be considerate of those around you that may not want to hear it. In the last 10 years I have had exactly 2 strangers prefer I turn my music off even though they can't hear it unless they are standing right next to me, so I just turned it off. But I have had hundreds ask me to turn it up. Times are achangin'. 5 Quote Driver: LTDx 10.5* ... LinQ M40X 6F3 Fairway: SIM2 Max 15/16.5/18* ... Tensei Raw Blue 65R Utility: UDi 18* ... bens197 12,389
Our default is around 10 albums of my favorites from Dave Matthews Band. It’s not the kind of music you blast so we tend to not offend many with noise complaints…instead, we’ll have younger groups nearby and say “is that Dave Matthews?” Yes Followed by silence…they’re mocking us. And when I realize their first album was released 29 years ago it’s their subtle way of calling us old. 1 Quote Titleist TSI3 LAGolf DJ 65 5 TaylorMade SIM2 3 wood Fujilkura Ventus Blue 7-X Mizuno HMB MP20 3i Nippon Modus 3 120S Mizuno Pro 223 4-P Nippon Modus 3 115X Vokey SM8 50, SM9 54 & 60 Nippon Modus 3 120s Scotty Cameron Phantom X 11.5 Srixon Z-Star XV Divide Official 1/12 testers for 2022 L.A.B. GrumpyGolf 845
Personally, I find that when I listen to 90's music, I shoot in the 90s and if I listen to 80's music I shoot in the 80's. I tried listening to 70's music hoping to shoot in the 70's but just found that I hit my driver and fairway woods like they were made of persimmon and my irons like they were tiny blades that over emphasized any mishit. *apologies if this falls flat but just wanted to get back to playlists versus playing music on the course. remember we never HAVE to play golf, we GET to play golf. just enjoy the experience no matter what. 4 1 1 Quote Driver: Ping G410 10.5 degree ALTA CB 55 RED STIFF Fairway: Cobra FLYXL 3 & 5 Hybrid: Cobra FLYXL 4 & 5 Irons: Cobra FLYXL 6 - P w/ Mitsubishi Rayon KURO KAGE Black Parallel Graphite Iron Shaft STIFF Wedges: Edel SMS 50, 54, 58 degree with KBS STIFF 2g/8g/10g Weight Setup Putter: Odyssey Stroke Lab 7 Putter w/ Graphite & Steel Shaft and Pistol Grip Ball: Bridgestone Tour B X GPS: Shot Scope V3 w/ Trackers "You don't HAVE to go play golf, you GET to go play golf." - Harvey Penick Link to comment
