If you're old (I'm 75) and still hit the ball 230-260 yards (90's swing speed) the Project X Cypher 50 shaft in 5.5 flex can't be beat.  I've got it in my Epic Max and I'm always in the fairway and hit it longer then any 75 year old has a right to.

Easy.  It was a gold, standard shaft installed in the original Cleveland Launcher. Never confirmed the manufacturer, but heard from several folks that it was Fujikura.  Loved it.  Nothing fancy, but worked so well for me at the time.  Great club and proof positive there is no need to spend crazy money to buy performance.

I still love my Proforce V2 76gr shaft I had installed in my Nike Sasquatch the black over yellow version.  One of the best investments I made to improve my driving.   Plus after 16 years I still bomb that thing down the middle.   I am so tempted to shop for a new driver but I hit that shaft and head so well I am torn.  I was even contemplating pulling the shaft to try it in a new head, although I’m sure there are better shafts out there now.

WITB:

Driver: Nike Sasquatch 460 9* w/ ProForce V2 72gr stiff tipped 3/4"

Fairway: Calloway 2017 Steelhead XR Strong 4 wood

Irons: Wilson Staff Ci chrome 4-GW stiff

... Great call! That was indeed a Fujikura and the shaft that changed the game. It was the first "after market" shaft installed as a stock shaft. For better players that had never played an after market shaft, and at that time there were not a ton of them, it was a real eye opener and an instant success. I had not played a stock shaft in years but loved the Fuji Gold in my Launcher driver and fairway wood.

That Launcher driver was pound for pound one of the best drivers made in the early 2000's.  It was at the same time when TM kicked off their #1 driver in golf campaign and was paying Tour pros to play their r500 series.

Folks would walk into the shop and ask for the TM and we'd say just for fun, give one of these a shot.

I sold more Launchers that summer than any other driver and a lot of that was a result of that Fujikura stock shaft.

For the longest time I preferred the Aldila NV 65 (green). I had it in 3 different drivers, and a set of woods.  But when I got my Titleist 915 driver and 3-wood they had the Aldila Rogue which works fine for me too.

Titleist TS2 driver, 3 wood

Titleist hybrids

Mizuno MP20 MMC irons

Vokey wedges

Callaway Tour Blue Putter
