You were right. Speed without technique is bad.

Well, bad for my wallet anyway. 

I hit a piece of plywood on the ground, like a dunce, after I finished my workout and kept practicing my bad technique. So, maybe actually it was the technique practice that is costing me… 

Pro shop said they couldn’t fix it, so I already ordered a replacement, because even though I haven’t been getting the fast gains others have seen, it’s clear the system is a step above the others I’ve done. My Grit score is going to suffer too. 

 

Am I the only one?

Ended up skinning the carpet at the gym with my Rypstick and pulling up a heap of thread.

Karma always gonna get you, haha. The shaft broke on mine, though it’s tough to see from the picture.

I think it’s metal underneath the yellow cap, though the part that is glued to the shaft feels plastic. 
 

In my old apartment I also hit the wood ground with a superspeed stick and had to fill it in. Clearly I’m proving how good I am…

Cannot speak to your speed training system - there are other threads already discussing those - but as to the title "Speed without technique is bad" I am completely in agreement!

I've been taking a series of lessons, and doing the drills the instructor suggests and practicing and .. over time .. I can clearly see my swing technique improving with the result that for any given club I'm picking up distance (and, generally but not always , narrowing my dispersion!). IMHO and what seems to be working for me is that you need a solid foundation first to build up on.
