Titleist Tour Speed and Tour Soft

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if anyone has tried either one of these balls?
I got a dozen of the Tour Speed last year to try them. (traded a club)

They have a nice feel and not quite as much spin as a ProV1 or Srixon Z-star.

What are your thoughts if you have? Anyone play either one consistently?

I've tried them both and they are great balls for the price.  The Tour Speed is probably the longest ball I have ever played, but you give up some spin for that distance.

I don’t get the Tour Soft, I can’t find any advantage over the TruFeel and in many ways it’s not as good. The Tour Speed is much closer to the NXT Tour I played for years and truly miss. I prefer the feel, flight and distance of the Speed to most balls. Since Wilson discontinued the Duo Pro, which is much firmer than advertised, I’m thinking the Tour Speed will be my ball of choice.

I played the previous generation Tour Speed for a few dozen boxes. This newest formulation is different and I haven’t been convinced it’s as good. The distance is not the same and I believe the spin is less. I’m taking another sleeve out Thursday to see if it is just me.
