For the most part Ford still had most of the $7500 Federal tax credit from the 2010-2017 legislation, only Tesla and GM had exhausted the original 200,000 unit threshold. Under the new legislation, Tesla and GM have the credit restored with some stipulations. Airing some frustrations that the unexpected price hike coincides with a tax credit eliminates in many cases, the benefit of the credit for people who purchase that vehicle. So many businesses have raised costs citing inflation yet there are industries where that was not the case...it is merely greed disguised as a supply issue. chisag
... I ordered my Mach E March 2021 and cancelled the order in November because they had not started the build and I heard the GV60 would be coming March 2022. But the release date kept getting postponed. Just when I thought there was no hope, I got this from the Sales Mgr this morning: I have been getting some new information regarding GV60, we are likely to get some before end of year. You will be the first one on my list to get offered an incoming unit. When I have more information on the trims coming, I will reach out. If you have already purchased, I understand. Hobert
I would like to get a Lightning (in Blue of course) to pair with my Raptor, but doubt I would be able to convince my wife. Shapotomous
I saw a Lucid for the first time this evening. I had read about them about a year ago and hadn't seen one in the wild until tonight. I think they start at about $100k. I was following it in my 2003 Chevy work truck with 295k miles on it and it looks like it earned every one of those miles. That Lucid & my truck are probably worth a combined $100,400! I still think they should let those that tried to order an EV get the $7500 rebate if delivered before 1/1/2023 but that ship has sailed. I put my $2500 deposit down on a GV60 today. They have the vin # but don't know exactly when it will arrive. True to his word the Sales Mgr gave me first choice so I got exactly what I wanted. Himalayan Gray with Black interior, it's just going to cost more than I would have liked. I usually wait for the 2nd generation but as hot as these EV's are they could have a huge price increase so I am in with the 2023. yungkory 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... I only use Top Tier gas and that means Costco because of the rebates. Costco can mean pretty long lines and as much as I try to hit it at non peak times, it can still be a wait. Looking forward to joining you as the GV60 has a 3 year complimentary 30 minute charging at Electrify America and a couple charging stations are pretty convenient for me. Supposedly the GV60 goes from 10% charge to 80% charge in 18 minutes, so hopefully that is accurate. Other wise it is my home charger (I still need to install a 240v outlet) between 11pm and 6am for the lowest rates. Looking forward to any updates you have as a new owner! For being a lower height car is feels so much bigger and roomier which is nice. There is also next to no space for all sorts of nonsense here (parking, roads) so having a big vehicle is just a bad idea. chisag
... Wow, after everything moving at a snails pace for 1.5 years things are suddenly happening at light speed. Ordered the Mach E in March 2020 and cancelled the order in November 2020 as the Genesis GV60 was due for a March 2021 release. That dragged on to June, then late summer. Finally a few weeks ago I was able to put a deposit down on my GV60 but no delivery date yet definitely by the end of the year. Just got a call and it is scheduled to arrive Thursday the 29th! Thankfully I already bought my Juice Box charger but now need an installation. Electrician said he should be able to install by the 29th if no problems arise on jobs already scheduled. At least I get 3 years of free 30 minuute charging from Electrify America and the GV60 goes from 20-80% in 18 minutes. bens197, GolfSpy_APH, Siamese Moose and 3 others 6 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... We had a 2021 Tesla Y (short range) that we'd bought new a year before we got the S but wanted longer range. We actually got $6K more than we paid trading in the Y thru Vroom. Really happy we upgraded to the S and having the around 400+ mile range is great. chisag, MattF and GolfSpy_APH 3 Quote TM Sim2 Max 10.5 Ping G410 5 wood Ping G410 7 & 9 woods PXG Gen 5 0311P 5-gap PXG forged 54 & 58 wedges PXG Operator H w/ BGT Stability shaft

Was going to leave it at 32A to follow the 80% rule but my electrician friend said it's fine as long as my breaker can handle it. He put in a 60A breaker for my JB40 ... Mine installed a 60A breaker as well. So since we have the same battery in our cars and the same charger my question is, how long does it take for a full charge and do you always charge it completely? My Power company offers a reduced EV rate between 11pm to 6am and of course I can program it to charge then. MattF and GolfSpy_APH 2 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ... I usually charge mine to 80% every few days or when it gets below 200 mile range. Seems I read somewhere to not always charge the batteries to maximum as it lessens their life or something like that...... chisag
... Update: My deposit was refunded as they have no timetable for the Advanced model. Most likely not available til winter 2023 but ya never know. At least I am still at the top of the list when they do start shipping. Probably gonna be 2 years from the time I put a deposit down on an EV before I finally get one. Crazy times ... MattF, Larryd3 and yungkory 2 1 Quote Driver: Qi10 10.5* ...
