LowSwingSpeed
Just ordered a set of Srixon irons at a demo event and they arrived with Recoil 760 F2 shafts. Imagine my surprise when they seemed to be at least one shaft grade stiffer than my existing stock Callaway A shafts. Is the Recoil F2 actually an A shaft or does it just play stiffer than other brands. In any event, I am out $750.
RickyBobby_PR
There is no comparison between shaft flexes from different brands. Once you move outside of the same weight class of a shaft flex changes. So yes it’s possible that the recoil f2 play stiffer than what you have in your current set. What is the shaft in your Callaway? What are the shaft weights? What Callaway irons do you have? Did you order blind at the demo event or did you hit the irons before ordering? If you hit before ordering did you not feel the difference between the shafts at that time? What srixons did you order? Flex is not standard across any manufacturer or even across shaft lines within the same manufacturer. So while both manufacturers consider them senior flex one may play more or less stiff than the other. You’d really need to compare the profiles of the shaft to see what aspects (tip, mid section, butt) may be stiffer or softer as the profile influences what you are feeling. Additionally, you need to consider the feel difference between heads. since you ordered them at a demo event, I am assuming you hit the clubs with those shafts and got good performance when compared side by side with you Callaway?
