When you’re playing with another random single and ask them what ball they’re using and their response is “whatever ball I find on course. I haven’t bought balls in years”.

You're playing partner says "I had 2" cut off of my driver so I can hit it better" and then I ask "what's the swing weight now?".. and then they look at me like.. whuh?? And then I ask if they added any weight to the head to get the SW back up and then explain what SW is and why it's important.. and they continue to go "whuh??".. and then you notice a very distinct "did I just ruin a new $500 driver because my friend told me it was a good idea?" look on their face.

When you buy your father Maxfli tour golf balls as Dick's to show him that he CAN get a good performing ball for a good price easily, and offer Snell as an alternative.

PS.... he usually plays... *gulp* Noodles.

When you’re at a wedding at a private course you have not played and you can see 3 holes from the hall (guessing 1/10/18) and you are game planning how you would play said holes….and your wife comes up to you while your standing there asking if you are doing just that…..

in all transparency guessing this beautiful par 3 was 170. I told her a nice smooth 7 iron….she rolled her eyes

Ah yes, and when I was hitting this ball one of the couples that was at our table came outside and the husband said "did you really have your golf clubs with you?!"

I used to carry mine all the time because you never know when you're going to be driving down the road and a round of golf will break out.

Winter time there are so many times where I will just say I am going to the simulator today....Cant do it if my clubs aren't in the car!

Or the summer and I get a call at 1430 to go play at 1500....No time to go home to get those bad boys gotta speed to get to the course.

In my Army days we had BII (Basic Issue Implement) of tire repair things, a shovel and such tools that was required to be carried for each vehicle.  I just consider my golf gear as more BII for a more civilized age.

We are actually (fingers crossed) closing on a house end of August and there was a closet in the basement that had the owners clubs in it. My wife said "oh did you see the closet in the basement?" I said "the one with the clubs? of course I did". She said that'll be great to store yours when you bring them inside....Its not when its if sweety, and thats a big IF

When you golf with a group of guys for the first time in a year, and they go through your bag to see what’s “new”. This is, of course, followed by, “What happened to the driver/irons/wedges/putter you had last time we played?”

And you answer, “Oh! I switched out clubs TWICE since then! Got better numbers with these in a fitting…”

When your wife leaves the garage door open on accident and the first thing I check is on is my golf clubs!.. (whew!) not the brand new car parked inside, not the load of tools/power tools, not the family bikes and other recreational equipment.. and then She says.. "if someone was going to steel something, they're definitely not interested in your golf clubs". And deep inside I cried big baby man tears, and had to tell myself "you know she's just saying that and doesn't really mean it" ..and then had to go tell my golf clubs "don't listen to her, she's just jealous!".. (true story.. mostly)

I chose my putter, my go to ball, two pairs of my golf shoes, my retriever, my bag, my push cart, my electric cart, my rangefinder and a couple other golf items mostly because of MGS. More importantly, I’ve yet to be disappointed!
