I saw people on the course today... I almost drove into another car drooling as I drove by... Wednesday is supposed to be in the 50's so I might have to go out... I've never played when there is snow on the ground, so this should be interesting...

The snow is melted in Chicago and I saw some people out, but I won't be out until this rain and mud goes away. Actually, I'm going to fix the problem: I'm going away, to Myrtle!

You suck! When are you going and what courses do you play when you go down there?

We're leaving a few days. We're playing 6 courses in 6 days including TPC Myrtle, 3 courses at Legends, Oyster Bay, and Heritage. I've been looking forward to it all winter and it's almost here. And what's better is that my new gamer Byron is going to be here in time to make the trip.

Pack that new beauty carefully. Don't worry, I'll keep your post count up for you. :)

Wife and Dad also on the trip? Is that Spring Break for you?

Indoors? I play indoors every now and then.

If carpet putting counts then yes... I went out in sub freezing weather and hit balls for 30-45 min.

Are you playing in HB next weekend?

Nope. I have never flown and with my busy schedule, I want some time to unwind before I go back to school.

I am not going either. Too bad. It looks like it will be great. Can't wait to see the new model.

Nice, nice. Sometimes I'll chip in the snow. It's good practice if it ever..... snows during my round...... :(

Carpet putting does help though. I do that too.

I practice "Bunker" shots in the snow. I draw my line and try to take the correct divot.

That works pretty well, it mimics fluffy country club sand.

I don't play country club sand but I figured snow would be better on my club than muni bunkers.

The owner of our course would like us to have started playing golf when it's 30* in March mornings and 45* by mid day. This year with all the bad weather in the Phila, Pa area we'd be better off served waiting it out until mid April. We've had over 60" of snow the last month and just between this past Friday, Saturday we've had over 3" of rain. It will take until May to dry out for sure! But this owner we have could care less about playing conditions he just wants that cash register ringing!! Why ruin the golf course, plus it's really not fun trying to find plugged balls in the middle of the fairway. Just from past experience the course probably won't play true until June from all this bad weather this year. It actually would have been better if it just stayed cold and let the snow melt slowly. Personally I want to play as bad as the next guy, but I just don't like seeing my home course getting torn up for the sake of starting a few weeks early then we should.JMO

Tomorrow's supposed to be 50* and no rain...I might try to get to the range to get started.

Ok...scrap that -- didn't get the warmth we were supposed to, and it's still kinda rainy. Maybe tomorrow.
